Quite possible, as CAT percentile is not the only parameter considered by IIMs. In fact there are colleges like IIM Indore which gives less than 30% weightage to CAT, and the rest to your profile.

No, it is not. They accept only CAT scores.

If you have a strong reason to justify your breaks, you can make into any of the IIMs or even International B-Schools. By reading your info, I can say that your breaks are valid ones and it won't create any problems in your admission process.
All the best.

IIMs should always be the first choice. it's only if you are unable to get thru them.join any other institute.
also, when I say IIM I am still focused on the older ones like ahmedabad, Kolkata, Bangalore, Indore and kozikode.

For selection in IIMs, marks in 10th, 12th and graduation is also considered apart from the CAT score. In your case, marks are on lower side, however, a very high score in CAT may get you a seat though chances are tough.

IIM is not about decent percentile. It's about top notch CAT score and a percentage eligibility is also there. 53% in graduation would automatically bar you from filling admission forms to most of the colleges, unless you are vying for management quota.

I don't think so because, IIM Raipur has executive post graduate programmes for working professionals.

As per my knowledge IIM Rohtak takes academics into consideration. Most of the other iims taking part in CAP consider CAT score itself as a shortlisting criteria. Please contact the respective institutes in order to get a clear picture.

Hi, your score is good but not good enough for IIMs and Xavier. Try giving the entrance exam again. All the best.
