CAT Exam is conducted for admission to IIMs for the MBA course. The estimated final cutoffs are the basis of which the candidates are called for the interview round. IIM Shillong admission 2023 to MBA course is offered through CAT 2023 scores followed by Analytical Writing Test (AWT) & Personal Interview (PI). IIM Shillong will release the shortlist for admissions 2024 after the CAT results are announced. Listed below are the important IIM Shillong CAT cutoff 2023 dates:

The admission procedure for MBA at IIM Udaipur starts with qualifying CAT examination, followed by shortlisting of candidates for Personal Interview. Just like all IIM’s, Common Admission Process (CAP) is the process through which PI are done. And finally a Merit List is prepared based on the CAT score, PI score and Profile score. The criteria for preparing the merit list will be as follows: CAT Score*: 60%, Interview (PI): 15% and Profile: 25%.

It is important to know that GMAT scores are accepted for foreign as well as Indian MBA programmes. For admission to IIM Sirmaur for the flagship MBA (or PGP) course, the result of CAT 2023 can be expected by the last week of December 2023 (If the CAT conducting body follows the trend as in 2022). However, if the trend is not followed, the same will most probably be out by the first week of January 2024. After the release of result, the exam takers will be able to download their CAT scorecards from the official website using their login credentials for IIM Sirmaur admission.

For admission to MBA (or PGP) 2024 batch at IIM Sirmaur, the CAT test was conducted on November 26, 2023. Aspirants of IIM Sirmaur are required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam 2023 was held in three slots:
- Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM
- Afternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM
- Evening slot: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
Earlier, the CAT exam used to be of 180 minutes with 100 questions but in 2020, both exam duration and number of questions were reduced due to COVID-19 pandemic. Starting CAT 2022, the total number of questions stands at 66 as part of CAT pattern.

To apply for the CAT exam, candidates are required to create an account, fill the CAT registration form and pay the exam application fee. The 2023 CAT form has to be submitted by a certain deadline after which no application will be accepted. For the 2023 CAT exam, CAT registration was between Aug 2 and Sep 20.
