Hello, IIT JAM exam is one of the toughest exams conducted in India. So, prepare yourself well for the exam. IIT JAM 2019 exam will be conducted in the month of February 2019. No, there are no subjective questions are asked in the IIT JAM Exam. As per the IIT JAM Exam Pattern, the exam is conducted through complete online mode. There are 3 types of questions which are asked in the exam which are:
MCQ (Mulitple Choice Questions)
MSQ (Multiple Select Questions)
NAT (Numerical Answer Type)

Difference between IIT JAM and GATE:
GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is an all India entrance exam which allows candidates to apply for IITs, NITs, IISc, and a few other applied sciences institutes/universities. GATE exam can only be given by the candidates with applied Science degrees like B.E and B.Tech, to pursue M.Tech and M.Sc. By research, integrated Ph.D and direct Ph.D programs. Hello, To appear in IIT JAM exam, you need a graduation degree with minimum percentage of marks in any discipline from any recognised university. But only having a graduation degree is not enough. Yes, maths is necessary in 12th standard for IIT. As you are interested in Biotechnology, please search for institutions, which don't require maths as a subject.
