For 2023, cut-off was 11388 for General category candidates in the All India quota for BTech in Metallurgical Engineering in IIT BHU, Varanasi - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates in the general category under the All India quota, 16929 was the closing rank. BTech cut-off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

The cut-off rank in Round 6 for B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering is 6694 which is very close to this range. This was for the general category under the All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one can not afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut-offs keep changing from round to round, better ranks definitely increase your chances of getting admission to IIT BHU, Varanasi - Indian Institute of Technology.

The year 2023 cutoff ranks for BTech in Electronics Engineering at IIT BHU, Varanasi - Indian Institute of Technology other than General category are - 1374 for OBC, 926 for SC, 443 for ST, 472 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE Advanced, the last cut-offs also change a lot depending on the All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For the general category under All India, the opening rank was 3358 and the closing rank was 3534. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even the domicile of the home state. In All India, the opening and closing rank for female candidates was 1073 and 7081. Admission to B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering at IIT BHU, Varanasi - Indian Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE Advanced. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying for while checking for cut-offs.

IIT BHU cutoff trend for BTech has been increasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for BTech under general category for all India quota was 897. In 2023, it increased to 1079. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 389 to 359 for OBC, 218 to 284 for SC, 121 to 107 for ST, 125 to 138 for EWS, 51 to 57 for PWD. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

IIT BHU, Varanasi - Indian Institute of Technology has released 6 rounds of JEE Advanced cutoffs for admission to BTech. The cutoffs were released on a rolling basis, and the seats were filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs are based on the following factors:

The JEE Advanced score of the candidate
The category of the candidate
The number of seats available in the course

Candidates must visit the official website of JoSAA to read clear instructions on how to proceed with the JoSAA counselling process, once the round is released.
