IIT Varanasi provides ten BTech specialisations, including Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmaceutics Engineering & Technology, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics Engineering. Eligibility for BTech admission at IIT Varanasi is based on meeting the criteria for JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Prospective students who have completed their Class 12 in the Science stream with a minimum of 75% aggregate (or 65% for SC/ST/PwD) are eligible to apply.

IIT Varanasi BTech admission is based on JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Students qualify Class 12 from the recognised board with 75% marks for general category and 65% marks for SC/ ST. PwD candidates. 

IIT BHU has more than 300 faculties. The faculty of the college is very experienced and all the professors hold PhD degrees, with extensive research experience from top colleges in India and abroad. IIT BHU faculty members truly share their experiences with the students to guide them in the best way possible.

The hostel fee at IIT BHU is INR 300 per semester. This fee does not include electricity charges, Gymkhana, Medical, Amenities and other hostel services. A total of INR 5,000 (approx.) needs to be submitted during the admission to get a hostel and other facilities. The institute has 16 hostels for boys and girls separately.

IIT BHU is a government institute. IIT BHU was founded in 1919 as Banaras Engineering Colleges, later on, it was established as IIT BHU in 2012. IIT BHU admits students on the basis of various national-level exams such as JEE Advanced, JEE Main, NATA, IIT JAM, etc. The institute has 15 departments and 3 schools through which it offers various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral-level courses in Engineering, Architecture, Science and Pharmacy streams.
