The application fee for the PG courses at the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Kolkata varies based on the category of the applicant:
For General category candidates, the application fee is Rs.1,250.
For SC/ST/OBC category candidates, the application fee is Rs.62512.
Applicants can make the payment via SBI Collect, NetBanking, Debit/Credit Card, or through a Challan for cash payment at an SBI Branch.

In order to be eligible for admission to ISI M.Tech (QROR), an applicant must have
(i) a Master’s Degree in Statistics with Physics and Chemistry at the (10+2) level;
or
(ii) a Master’s Degree in Mathematics with Statistics as a subject at undergraduate or post-graduate level, and Physics and Chemistry at the (10+2) level; or
(iii) a BE/B Tech degree or any other qualification considered equivalent (such as AMIE).
The programme is offered in two streams:
Statistics Stream for candidates with qualifications (i) or (ii) mentioned above;
Engineering Stream for candidates with an undergraduate degree in Engineeringor Tec

Well, it is pretty expensive. It will cost a good amount of your cranial potential to get through the entrance examination. Apart from that you need to invest a good amount of time preparing yourself for the written examination as well as the interview.
Once you clear both, it's all FREE. All the nominal security deposits are fully refundable. Hostel room charges are less than 100. There are mess fees if you want to opt for it. You'll get a stipend of 5,000 a month and a book grant of 5,000 per semester which can be used to buy books, printing and photocopying study materials etc.
