PEC Chandigarh has been ranked by various ranking bodies such as QS, NIRF, etc. The NIRF rankings are based on student-faculty ratio, faculty, placements, etc. The below are the PEC Chandigarh rankings:

Maulana Azad Urdu National University is the only government Engineering college in Hyderabad having tuition fees of less than INR 1 lakh, i.e., INR 32,400.
It offers a good salary package of INR 4 LPA to candidates participated in placement process.

In providing a comparison engineering institutions like Chandigarh University, Lovely Professional University, Chitkara University, and Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, the NIRF 2024 lists that these institutions are some of the well known private institutions in North India. As per NIRF ranking 2025, IIT Indore emerged as the Atal Engineering college in Madhya Pradesh, followed by the other two colleges, including MANIT Bhopal and IIITM Gwalior.

Yes Oxford University Engineering courses are highly ranked in UK as well as in the world. QS World Ranking, Guardian Rankings and THE Ranking rank Oxford Engineering #2 in the world.

India has a lot of great engineering colleges, but if you're asking in a general sense, the IITs and top NITs are usually seen as the top. Apart from that, a few private institutes also get mentioned a lot, and Thapar University surely ranks among the top private engineering colleges in india because of its placements, coding culture, and overall student ecosystem. So yeah, “top” depends on what you value, but Thapar is definitely up there in the private space.
