Not only the best, civil engineering at Cu is bestest .At the civil department there are amazing labs for material testing hydraulics, and structural engineering, students get to do experienment and learn things with their hands.It is not just theory.the teachers are experienced.They teach well and also bring experts  from industry. These experts share real life knowledge about big projects. This helps students understand how things work outside the classroom. The faculty members also told me that they had partnerships with big companies like Everest Industries and Glass Acamedy. Because of these, students get to work on actual projects. They see how construction happens in real life . This make learning much better.

Both Chandigarh University (CU) and Lovely Professional University (LPU) are known for engineering, but if we think of Electrical Engineering, LPU appears better in many ways. As a student, I personally feel that LPU has a very practical approach to learning. Their labs are state of the art, and well-resourced, and I find that the faculty usually support us to work on real-time projects, which build confidence to take on challenges in industry. The university brings many industry professionals for guest lecturers, and have affiliations with top companies in the world, so this gives students a greater opportunity for internships and placements. The campus life is also an inspiration; I am in a class surrounded by students from all different parts of the country and different countries, so exposure and diversity are on another level. CU also has a good academic image, and is growing rapidly, however, LPU has wider connections across the globe and larger campus facilities that support overall skill development. So, in my opinion, both are good, however, LPU is a better opportunity for becoming an electrical engineering student with potential future growth and a solid career orientated college experience.

Chandigarh University is best for mechanical engineering.

The department offers specialisation in any of three options: design, robotics, or manufacturing. Few such society groups take part, namely ASME and IEI, opening wide networks. Tie-ups at the International level expose the students to ideas newer than they can comprehend. Placement records are really good with packages. From automobile, energy to electronics, recruiters come from different sectors. The engineers from Chandigarh do not just study books: they know how to do practical applications in a good volume. There are industrial visits, seminars, and workshops always in progress, so the programs are truly a mix of theory and skill.

Indian Institute of Technology or IITs are world renowned Engineering institutes network. The competitive selection procedure has built its reputation in the field. As it helps the institute in filtering out the best of students. Admission to IITs is through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). As per past years' statistics, only 1% or 2% of the total applicants get a seat in an IIT.

Moreover, IITs also enjoy good partnerships/collaborations with industry partners. These connections allow students to get opportunity to work on collaborative research projects, internships, and job placements for students. With this type of industry exposure, students get a chance to enhance their practical skills.
