Currently, the IGIPESS does not have a high ranking either nationally or internationally in any standard ranking system. However, it is respected by all the colleges of Delhi University particularly because of its emphasis on physical education and sports sciences. The institute can be credited for its courses which are B.P.Ed and M.P.Ed and the recognition that the university enjoys having affiliation with Delhi University.
