The admission is entrance-based. Aspirants with a valid TS ICET score become eligible for admission. Based on the score in the entrance exam, students are called for the counselling round, during which the seat allotment is carried out. A pass in bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST). Candidates with not less than 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST) with Mathematics or Statistics or Computer Science or Computer Programming or Computer Applications or Business Statistics as optional or electives is required to apply for MCA. Candidates who have studied and passed one of the specified subjects in the pre-University course with 50% marks in that subject shall also be considered for admission.

Kalvium conducts its in-house entrance test, which is known as the Kalviness Quotient (KQ) Challenges. Candidates willing to pursue BCA course at Kalvium must appear and qualify this entrance test. This exam is mandatory for all the aspirants as it evaulates the candidate's for the programme. After qualiying KQ test, candidates have to appear for a PI round.
