Candidates are eligible to take admission to BCA without being from Mathematics backgrounds. Even those from Humanities and Medical background are eligible for BCA. But for MCA, Mathematics in Class 12 or UG-level is the minimum requirement.

In order to be eligible for the MCA programme, a candidate needs to possess a bachelor's degree of three-year duration from a recognised institute/ university and Mathematics in Class 12 with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate (45 per cent for SC/ ST candidates).

Yes, BCA is a three-year course offered at the UG level. The university also offers BCA (Hons) in two specialisations, namely Banking, Financial Services, Insurance and Gaming & Animation. Those students who wants to learn Computer languages and after that who wants to join Software Industry can apply for the BCA course. This course offers numerous job opportunities for bright students in software companies and also in MNC’s with high salaries and the growth of software engineer can outrun the growth in any other similar fields. Moreover, the candidates must also hold the relevant documents at the time of form filling and admission as proof of eligibility.
