The cutoff for PVPSIT would vary according to the B.Tech stream and the category of the student. In the case of Computer Science Engineering, which is one of the most sought-after streams, the general category cutoff would be around 7,000 to 12,000, while in the case of Mechanical Engineering, the cutoff could be much higher, over 100,000 for some years. Other such branches of engineering like Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Civil Engineering also have relatively different cutoffs with some being substantially higher.

The B.E./B Tech course at the Prasad V Potluri Siddhartha Institute of Technology can be directly taken based on the management quota. General admissions are available based on the scores obtained in the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET exams. However, students who cannot secure a seat through the entrance exam might get seats into the institute under the management quota. Direct entry is possible without EAMCET rankings, though for management quota seats, the fees are often higher than a regular admission.
