Hello Robin, IIT JAM exam is a national level admission test for selection of candidates for admission into M.Sc. Ph.D. and other integrated courses. The candidates who have completed the graduation degree in Science, are eligible to apply for the IIT JAM exam. To prepare for the exam, the best strategy is to solve the previous year question papers and mock tests. Instead of going for coaching classes, you can prepare for JAM Exam by your own. You should solve as many previous years IIT JAM Question Papers as possible. This will give you an idea about the pattern and difficulty level of the questions. Also take online mock tests to analyze your preparation level. This will also increase your speed and accuracy while solving questions. Focus mainly on the most important topics from now. Learn all the important formulas. Practice as many questions as possible. Hello, Only virtual calculator is allowed during IIT JAM Exam. You cannot bring the physical calculators with you. The virtual calculator was first introduced in IIT JAM 2016 exam. You can use this calculator at any time during the exam. You should know how to use this calculator. So, for this you need to practice for it. You need to know all of its functions. IIT JAM Exam will be conducted on 09th February 2020. So, prepare well for it.

Hello, In 2019, the IIT JAM Exam was conducted on 10th February 2019. Physics section had the same type of questions as in the JAM 2018 Exam but was easier than the 2018 exam. Here are the no. Of questions asked from each topic:
Modern Physics - 6
Oscillations, Waves & Optics - 15
Mathematical Physics - 13
Electricity & Magnetism - 15
Solid State Physics & Devices and Electronics - 15
Mechanics & General properties of Matter - 22
Kinetic Theory, Thermodynamics - 14
So, you can prepare for JAM 2020 Exam according to this weightage. JAM Exam will be conducted on 09th Feb 2020. Prepare well for it.
