Candidate must have obtained a Bachelors degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education in Physical, Biological, Agricultural, Veterinary and Fishery Sciences or Pharmacy or Engineering/Technology or 4-years B.Sc. (Physician Assistant Course) or M.B.B.S. or B.D.S. degree from any recognized university.
Admission is based on the rank in the Entrance exam conducted by the University

Basically, MSc is an academic degree that's higher than bachelor's degree and lower than PhD. MSc graduates are very much in demand. You can get a respectable job in any specialisation of this field.
There are many colleges and universities that hire MSc graduates as a professor or lecturer.

JNU does not ask for Maths in class 12th for Economics (Hons. ). But, it is always handy in practical life.Do not worry. Maths is just optional still for admission.
