JECRC University offers admissions to all courses on the basis of both, merit and entrance. The eligibility criteria differs for each course. Students can get direct admission to certain courses on the basis of the merit acquired in the last qualifying exam. However, majority of the courses require an entrance exam for admission.

The JECRC University previously known as the Jaipur Engineering College and Research Centre is a Private university. This university was founded by the JECRC Foundation-National Society for Engineering, Research and Development (NSERD) and is among the top universities of Jaipur recognised by national bodies such as the UGC and the AICTE.

Yes, JECRC University is a recognised university. It was established as a private institute and has since been recognised, accredited and approved by national bodies such as the UGC, NAAC, NBA, AICTE, etc. with rankings from well-known ranking bodies such as NIRF 2025.

Given all this information one can only call JECRC University to be a recognised university.

Yes, JECRC has a Placement Cell that provides placement assistance to all of its students. The cell organizes the campus recruitment training process to train the students through various training sessions, including aptitude test, technical test, Group Discussions, mock interviews, etc.

Yes, pursuing an BTech course from JECRC University is a good choice if considering the placement opportunities. The course-wise placement details are yet to be released for the batch 2026. The overall the highest package offered during JECRC University placements 2026 stood at INR 33 LPA, whereas the average package offered to the batch 2026 stood at INR 6.67 LPA. The participating recruiters have made 1030 offers so far to the overall Class of 2026.

The MBA placement details for the Class of 2026 has not been disclosed. According to the JECRC University NIRF Report 2025, the students of the MBA batch 2024 secured the median salary of INR 4.75 LPA. 246 students of the MBA batch 2024 were placed out of the total 248 graduated students.

It is difficult to say whether getting into JECRC University is tough or easy and will depend on the:

  • Candidate's level of preparation
  • Competition
  • Available seats
  • Personal motivation

As well as a number of other factors that will not be discussed here. But admissions to the different courses at the university will depend on entrance exam scores such as CUET, CAT, MAT,  XAT, JEE Main, etc. for its different courses.

If you want JECRC University MBA scholarship, you will have to maintain 8.0 CGPA and at least 75% attendance in all courses including Theory, Lab, Project, Seminar, etc. There should be no compartment in any semester. It is also necessary that the student remain disciplined; otherwise, scholarship will be withdrawn. Candidates will be required to pay any additional fees applicable to the relevant program.
