Normally, choice of students is to seek admission in any government college rather than private. Hence, one needs to have higher ranking to get admission there. Based on your JEE Mains score, it seems difficult to get admission in any government college.

Closing ranks of different branches differ in this prestigious institution. Last year it varied from 25K to 1.4L for automobile engineering, closing rank was about 55K last year.

VIT is one of the premier institutions in Maharashtra. You require above 75 percentile. However, you will get admission in one of the colleges in Maharashtra.

With your marks in class 12th and JEE Mains, it appears quite difficult to get admission in any mainstream college. However, you can get admission in management quota of many private colleges.

Your marks in class 12th are excellent, but you have scored less in JEE Mains. There are many colleges which accept JEE Mains score and you can get admission through management quota.

With your scores in JEE Mains and class 12th, it looks like a bit difficult to get admission in better colleges. You may try some private colleges, either through this ranking or via management quota.

Your chance in getting admission in any of the NIT's lies in selecting that NIT, which is recent and select that course for which many students may not apply. The other choice is that you can appear next year again and score good marks.

In Maharashtra, all engineering colleges admit students based on the result of MH CET. The exception is given to IIT - M, VNIT - Nagpur and AIT - Pune. So, if you want to join VJTI, then you will have to appear for MHTCET.

Last year cut-offs were lowered to 100. This year almost everybody is expecting it to be raised. But fundamentally it depends on how well students have answered. May be 110.
