There is no restriction in any NITs regarding the number of attempts for B.Tech admissions. Admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs for the candidates from India at NITs, IIITs, Other centrally funded Technical Institutions shall be based on the ranks in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). For the candidates to qualify for the admission in the NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Main) ranks, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination. So yours 12th marks are very good enough and you can get NIT Trichy in EEE branch easily if scoring above 99 percentile in JEE Main 2021 in general category.
