Kalinga University offers various UG, PG, Diploma, and Integrated courses through its 14 departments.

The basic criteria to get admission in Kalinga University are given as follows:

  1. Candidates who have passed 10+2/HSC or its equivalent qualifying examination with minimum 45% marks (40% marks for reserve category) from a recognised Board are considered eligible for admission to the UG course.
  2. Applicants with graduation degree of minimum three years with at least 45% marks (40% for the reserved category) from a recognised University are considered eligible to get admission in any PG course.

The total number  of recruiters participated in  Kalinga University placements are around 121. The highest package offered at Kalinga University is 10 LPA and the average package offered was 2.3 LPA. Kalinga University help the  students through conducting aptitude tests and group discussions, which helps in several competitive exams palcement entrance tests. Kalinga University has 3 spacious hall messes to accommodate large numbers of students at a time; it is managed by the institution itself, to serve the students with good quality, healthy and nutritious meals.

Meals of both vegetarian and non vegetarian plans are prepared & served to students as per their preference.

Seats are reserved for students at  Kalinga University (KU, Raipur) under different reservation schemes and quota. Quota are accepted like NRI Quota, SC, ST

Kalinga University admissions 2023-24 are open to UG, PG, Diploma, and PhD programs. Further, the last date to apply for PhD is Jul 15 and the entrance exam will be held on Jul 23. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official college website.

In Kalinga University, for calucating CGPA-

There is a set amount of credits allotted to each course, students receive grades based on how well they do in each subject. According to a defined scale, grade points are allocated to each grade. The grade points obtained in each course are multiplied by the credits allotted to it to determine the credit points. The total credit points gained throughout all courses are added up to determine cumulative credit points. The cumulative credit points obtained are divided by the total credits attempted to arrive at the student's grade point average, or CGPA.

If a student doesn't pass internal exams at Kalinga University, their result will be marked as "fail-detained" for the current semester, rather than being held back. 

You need to ask in the office what is the procedure if you miss internal exams.

However, what happens next can vary depending on the programme and university rules. Moreover, according to the student handbook of Kalinga University, if a student fails their first ATKT examination, they will get another chance to try again in the second ATKT examination.
