As per the Karnataka PGCET exam pattern, each section of the exam for MBA course will have as many as 25 questions. All questions in the PGCET exam will carry one mark each. Since all sections of the PGCET exam will have a similar weightage in terms of marks and number of questions, all the sections hold equal importance.

Candidates have 120 minutes to answer all the multiple-choice questions of Karnataka PGCET exam. It is compulsory to answer all the questions. Candidates will not get the option to select questions in the question paper. The exam is held in offline mode.

For every right answer, candidates will be awarded one mark in Karnataka PGCET exam while for the wrong answers, no marks will be deducted. Total marks of the Karnataka PGCET exam are 100. Candidates get 120 minutes to answer all the multiple-choice questions.

The Karnataka PGCET admit card is not issued to those candidates whose application forms were incomplete. However, if the application process has been successfully completed by the candidates and yet the dmit card is not issued then candidates must contact KEA authorities immediately. The KEA official will guide the candidates on what to do in such cases based on the issue being faced. Candidates must not delay in contactiung the officials, as this may lead to last minute conflicts before the exam.

Candidates are advised to check all the details mentioned in their hall tickets as soon as they log in to download the admit card. In case of any error in the details, candidates must check the application form confirmation page and match if they made an error in the application form or only the admit card hosts the incorrect detail. In case of any discrepancy, candidates need to contact KEA immediately. The officials will issue a fresh hall ticket to the candidates with the correct information.

No, the KEA does not send the hard copy of the Karnataka PGCET admit card to any applicant via post or at the exam centre. Therefore, candidates need to download the hall ticket and take a printout of the hall ticket. Candidates must follow the steps below to download the Karnataka PGCET hall ticket.

  • Visit the official website of KEA, i.e. kea.kar.nic.in

  • On the home page, click on the tab for 'Admissions' from the menu followed by clicking the 'PGCET - MBA, MCA Admissions' from the drop-down menu

  •  Enter the login credentials, including registration number and password on redirection

  • Complete the captcha verification.

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) releases the Karnataka PGCET admit card in an online mode. Several candidates face issues while downloading the PGCET hall ticket. Some of these problems may include the following:

  • Poor internet connectivity
  • Server jam due to heavy traffic
  • Incorrect entry of login credentials
  • Incomplete registration

Candidates who have not completed the registration or haven't paid the application fee before the last date are not eligible to appear for the Karnataka PGCET exam. Candidates may write to KEA's office for a resolution as soon as possible.

Yes, candidates must preserve their Karnataka PGCET admit card until the admission process is over. Karnataka PGCET participating institutes may require the candidates' admit card to appear for the test. Candidates will have to submit a copy of the admit card during admissions. During the counselling process candidates have to show the final print out of Karnataka PGCET application form, admit card, among other documents.

Candidates must carry photo identity proof such as college ID card/ driving license/ PAN card/ Aadhaar Card/ Voters ID card on the exam day along with Karnataka PGCET admit card. candidates must carry a hard copy of the Karnataka PGCET admit card on the exam day along with a valid photo ID proof on the exam day. Failing this, applicants will face denial in entry to the exam hall. Officials at the exam centre verifies the identity of the candidates after looking at the ID proof and the admit card.

As per the exam policy, a digital copy of the Karnataka PGCET admit card is not acceptable for entry inside the exam hall. Candidates with a hard copy of the PGCET admit card are allowed to enter the exam hall. After the admit card has been downloaded, candidates have to cross-check the details filled in the application form with the details furnished on the Karnataka PGCET hall ticket before taking a printout. Any discrepancy in the Karnataka PGCET admit card must be reported immediately. To print Karnataka PGCET hall ticket immediately after downloading the same, the system must be connected with a printer beforehand.
