The trends last year indicate that aeronautical branch was the most sought after branch. KCET cutoffs were much stringent compared with civil or mechanical branches. But how the trend takes shape is anybody's guess. It may change or continue in same direction. But i suppose if you have 50 percentile then perhaps your chances will improve in getting branch of your choice.

Basically, the exam conducting body declares the results based on performance only in the CET. However, there are many things that one should know. I am attaching one link that will give you overall information about KCET. https://www.shiksha.com/b-tech/exams/kcet/cutoff.

Finding cutoffs or guessing cutoffs for current year is very tough proposition. There are too many dynamic variables that decide this. E.g., total seats in the branch, total students appearing for entrance exam, perceptions of students about a particular branch or college. Frankly speaking it varies very widely. If one sees cutoffs of different branches in Dayanand college itself in 2016 and 2017 the difference is unimaginable. Hence I would sincerely advise you to not worry about this and concentrate on doing your best in the entrance exam.
