There are around 250 colleges that offer admissions to engineering and architecture courses. There are both morning and evening shifts colleges. Q:   What is the duration of KCET UGET exam?

A:

Karnataka Examination Authority conducts KCET Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics paper in separate slots. Each paper of KCET exam 2024 is conducted for 80 minutes. The Kannada language exam of KCET will be conducted for 60 minutes for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates. KCET exam Biology and Mathematics exam will be conducted on same day while Physics & Chemistry exam will be conducted on separate day. Applicants are not allowed to leave the KCET 2024 exam hall before the conclusion of the exam. There will be no break in the KCET exam. Karnataka Examinations Authority conducts the KCET counselling in online mode. Applicants have to complete the choice filling and locking after a successful registration. Candidates have to fill preferred choices of colleges and courses at the time of choice filling of KCET counselling 2023. Q:   Is there any dress code for the KCET exam?

A:

Karnataka Examination Authority do not mention KCET exam dress code in the official notification. Applicants are advised to avoid wearing clothes with large buttons, full sleeves, boots, caps and other things. Candidates should also avoid wearing mufflers, watches and other accessories while appearing in the exam. Applicants should wear open slippers or sandals in place of shoes if possible. Female candidates should avoid wearing Jewlery like earnings, ring, necklace and others while appearing in the KCET exam.  

Q:   What is KCET UGCET exam?

A:

Karnataka Common Entrance Test commonly known as KCET is regulated by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). It is conducted for admission to professional courses like Engineering Technology, Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharma), Diploma in Pharmacy (DPharma), Agriculture courses (Farm Science) and Veterinary courses. Candidates who desire to take admission to Medical or Dental or Ayurveda or Unani or Homoeopathy courses must qualify National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exam whereas candidates seeking admission to Architecture course through KCET must have qualified JEE Main Paper-2 or NATA to participate in KCET counselling. 

Q:   Is the KCET syllabus the same as JEE Main entrance exams?

A:

KCET syllabus is almost similar to JEE Main exam. There are many similarities and a wide range of topics covered in KCET syllabus. However, there are some differences like KCET 2024 comprises topics such as Biology which are not in JEE Main 2024 exam. Also, the weightage of important topics may also vary between the two exams. It is important for candidates to carefully analyze and understand the specific syllabus and exam pattern of each exam and prepare accordingly. Applicants are advised to check the syllabus of KCET and JEE Main from official websites only. 

Q:   Can I use a calculator during KCET exam?

A:

No, Karnataka Examination Authority will not allow candidates to use calculators during the KCET exam. Applicants are also not allowed to carry any electronics devices like mobile phones, pagers and other items inside the exam centre. Applicants appearing in the exam can use their question paper for rough work. The authorities will allow candidates to do calculations and rough work in the question paper booklet. Any candidate carrying restricted items inside the KCET exam hall will be disqualified from the admission process.  

Q:   What are the steps involved in KCET counselling?

A:

Karnataka Examinations Authority commenced the KCET 2023 counseling soon at the official website. Applicants declared qualified are eligible to participate in the counseling process of KCET 2023. Candidates first need to complete the KCET 2023 counselling registration. After successful registration, applicants can proceed to complete the choice filling and document uploading. After the document verification process, KEA has also commenced the choice filling and locking process. Applicants have to fill out their preferred courses and colleges at the time of choice filling. Based on the choices filled by the candidates, the exam authority will release the KCET seat allotment result on August 16 at the official website. The final step is to report to the allotted institute for fee payment. 

Q:   What is KCET mock seat allotment?

A:

Before the declaration of KCET seat allotment result, KEA has published mock allotment result on August 11 at the official website. The mock seat allotment of KCET 2023 is released as per the choices filled by the candidates at the time of choice filling. KCET mock allotment is similar to the actual seat allotment result. However, applicants are allowed to change their choices after the declaration of mock seat allotment result. Applicants appearing in the counselling process are allowed to change their course and colleges options KCET mock allotment results.

The overall cutoff for KCET is 10516 - 43477 rank. B.Sc. in Agriculture cut-off in Shimoga is 5567. So I don't think that you would get admission in Dharwad or Shimoga, but there are many good agriculture colleges in the country, you can refer to their website.

There’s a rule that states, once you enter round 3 at comedk, you can’t withdraw, you’ll have to pay 2.5L and block your seat. There won’t be any refund. So, think twice before moving into round 3.

So, it depends on whether COMEDK is your ONLY ONE option, or you have other options too, like KCET, BIT
