KCET 2022 application correction facility has been reopened until July 1. If the candidates have any corrections to make in the KCET 2022 application form, then they will have to log in with the required credentials. However, all details are not available for corrections. KCET 2022 provisional answer key is now available. Candidates will be able to calculate their probable secured scores using the KCET 2022 answer key. The authorities accepted objections against the provisional KCET answer key until June 25. KCET 2022 was held from June 16 to 17 for admission to various courses offered by the public and private institutes in the Karnataka state. The exam was conducted offline wherein one hundred eighty questions were asked and the maximum mark is one hundred eighty. What is KCET?

Karnataka Common Entrance Test commonly known as KCET is regulated by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). It is conducted for admission to professional courses like Engineering Technology, Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharma), Diploma in Pharmacy (DPharma), Agriculture courses (Farm Science) and Veterinary courses. Candidates who desire to take admission to Medical or Dental or Ayurveda or Unani or Homoeopathy courses must qualify National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exam whereas candidates seeking admission to Architecture course through KCET must have qualified JEE Main Paper-2 or NATA to participate in KCET counselling.

KCET 2022 Answer Key

The official KCET 2022 answer key has been published online separately for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Candidates will be able to calculate their probable marks and rank after matching their response with KCET answer key 2022. The answer key comprises the correct answers to the questions asked in the exam. Candidates could raise objections online until June 25. After resolving the objections, KEA will release the final answer key along with the result. 

KCET 2022 Application Process

The application process incorporates several stages like registration, filling out the application form, fee payment, uploading required documents and final submission. Candidates should fill correct details in the KCET application form 2022 otherwise their application would be liable for rejection. KEA will accept the application form of eligible candidates only. Candidates should be a pass in 2nd PUC / Class 12 / equivalent exam with English as one of the Languages and secured 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and 50% marks in aggregate at 2nd PUC / Class 12 / equivalent exam in all the subjects (45% for reserved category)

BE/BTech

Candidates should be a pass in 2nd PUC / Class 12 / equivalent exam with English as one of the Languages and obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer (40% for reserved category)

Farm Science courses means, BSc (Hons) Agriculture, BSc (Hons) Sericulture, BSc (Hons) Horticulture, BSc (Hons) Forestry, BTech Biotechnology, BSc (Hons) Community Science, BTech (Agril. Engg), BTech (Food Technology), BTech (Dairy Technology), BFSc (Fisheries), BSc (Hons) Ag. Maco.

Candidates should have passed 2nd PUC / Class 12 / equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology as optional subjects.

Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH)

Candidates should be a pass in 2nd PUC / Class 12 and obtained minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects (40% for reserved category).

BPharma

Passed in 2nd PUC / Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and obtained minimum 45% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects. (40% for reserved category candidates) or

Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and has secured minimum of 45% marks. (40% for reserved category candidates)

2nd Year BPharma

Candidates should have passed Diploma in Pharmacy examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and has secured minimum of 45% marks. (40% for reserved category candidates)

DPharma

Candidates should be pass in 2nd PUC / Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics OR

 

Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.

Naturopathy & Yoga

Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in the qualifying examination is eligible for admission to Naturopathy & Yoga courses (40% for reserved category candidates).

KCET 2022 Syllabus

The syllabus is prescribed by KEA keeping the level of candidates in the focus. KCET syllabus encompasses chapters and topics of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology from PUC-I and PUC-II (Class 11 and Class 12) as specified by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State. KCET 2022 Prep Tips

KCET 2022 Admit Card

KEA released the admit card on June 02. Candidates who have filled out the application form successfully can download their KCET admit card 2022 by using their login credentials. The admit card will be required for appearing in the exam. Without admit card, no candidate can ingress inside the exam hall. It assimilates details related to candidates as well as exams such as candidate’s name, roll number, exam date, exam venue, etc. Candidates must preserve it until the admission process concludes successfully.

KCET 2022 Question Paper

KEA will release the KCET question paper 2022 PDF after a few days after the conclusion of the exam. Candidates can use the question papers to get an idea of the types of questions, the difficulty level of the exam, etc. They can download KCET previous years’ question paper and practice it to get an edge in the examination. Practising questions will make them familiar with the type of questions asked and hence they can solve them in the exam without any difficulty.

KCET 2022 Result

Candidates will be able to check KCET result 2022 online after a few days of the examination. They have to log in to their account by using the login credentials to check the result. KEA will not share the result through email or post. Qualified candidates will be called for appearing at the counselling

KCET 2022 Cutoff

In order to qualify the exam, candidates have to qualify KCET cutoff 2022. However, the cutoff for engineering admission was not released in 2021. Candidates were admitted based on the merit. The cutoff marks are decided by the admission authority based on various factors like no. of candidates who appeared in the exam, seat availability, etc.

KCET 2022 Counselling

The counselling will be organized by KEA to complete the admission process. Eligible candidates will be called for participating in KCET counselling 2022. The counselling procedure comprises of various stages like document verification, registration, choice filling, choice locking and seat allotment.

A. Yes, the candidate is eligible for the admission under Kannada medium Quota.

Q. What is the process to determine the merit for engineering courses?

A. The criteria to determine the merit for engineering courses is 50% aggregate of the qualifying examination of PCM and 50% aggregate of the entrance exam of PCM subjects.

Q. What is the minimum marks required in the qualifying examination to determine the rank from engineering in case of General Merit?

A. The minimum marks required in the qualifying examination for General Merit is 45% aggregate in PCM (40% for SC/ST/OBC).

As per the KCET syllabus for B.Tech Food Science and Technology, There are three papers I. e Physics Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology.
