Academic ratings and placements of KL University are excellent. NIRF ranked the university 54th in 2022 and 44th in engineering in 2022. It bagged 3rd position in the Top 170 Engineering Institutes Rankings 2023. KL University is inclined both toward industry and a green campus. The range of engineering is quite good with disciplines that include Computer Science Engineering. Has experienced faculty and excellent placement records. Ranked No. 1 among private engineering colleges by The Times of India in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, it scores a lot on other parameters also. See reviews by students for more information.

KL College of Engineering has good records of placements and sees around 80% of its students placed. The packages range from 4-55 LPA. 2023: The highest Package was 58.20 LPA. 2022: The highest package was 55.6 LPA, and the average was 9.79 LPA. College is very supportive during the placements. It is known 100% regarding placement. The eligibility criteria for the B.Tech programme at K L College of Engineering include the following:
