Lateral entry

LEET is going to conducted by several universities and colleges separately to avail direct second year admissions. In general, their are requirements of Science with Mathematics at 10th standard and 60%(General) in Diploma/B.Sc.
As you are looking for different stream (not mentioned), Haryana LEET avails courses of several other streams like ceramic engineering, Food engineering, Bio. medical engineering, printing engineering etc.

Lateral entry is generally associated with the B.Tech course. A student can get directly into second year of engineering, if he has done his/her Diploma after class 10th. The condition that you have mentioned does not come under lateral entry, it is considered as course change.

Premier colleges across India including BHU, does not provide lateral entry option.

Indian Maritime University, Chennai; Coimbatore Marine College, and AMET University are some of the good options available.

To pursue engineering you must be through entrance like JEE main, advance etc.

Engineering Diploma holders and B.Sc students are eligible for lateral entry into 2nd year of engineering in some of the engineering colleges. You are eligible for transfer to other branch or institute after first year based on university and college rules & regulations. Every university had different rules and regulations on transfer.
