If you seek deeper knowledge, better career growth, and higher positions, a B.Tech degree is usually the better choice. However, when it comes to a smooth and career-oriented lateral entry route, LPU stands out as a strong choice for B.Sc Optometry lateral entry. Hi! Many private colleges create confusion with unclear admission criteria, hidden fees, and changing quotas. Thapar University is a genuine, accredited private university — always check eligibility, seat allocation, and fees before applying. Verify all details in writing and consult current students to avoid surprises.

Yes, GITAMN University does offer lateral entry into its BTech course for interested students. Candidates who wish to gain lateral entry into the 2nd year of BTech need to either clear a BSc course with Mathematics as one of the subjects or clear a Diploma in engineering and technology. The candidate must score a minimum aggregate of 60% in both cases.

Yes, LPU gives good placement opportunities to lateral entry students also. The university treats all students equally, whether they join from 1st year or take admission in 2nd year through lateral entry. Many lateral entry students have got placements in top companies like Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, and more. LPU focuses on skill development, communication skills, technical training, and interview preparation for all students. They provide special placement classes and workshops. Companies don't ask whether you are a lateral entry student or regular. They only look at your skills and knowledge. If you work hard and use LPU
