Newspapers are the best source for Current Affairs for most entrance tests, including CLAT. The Current Affairs topic is part of the GK and Current Affairs subjects. Normally, this section has around 35 to 39 questions. Out of which, around 12 to 15 will be current affairs-based questions. To prepare it, you can select any CA magazine or compilation apart from a newspaper that contains major events happening nationally, internationally, and in the legal domain. You can pick yearly Current Affairs booklet by Arihant Publications or Manorama Publications. You can also pick up a monthly magazine that covers important events for CLAT.

No, there is no age restriction to take the CLAT exam according to the CLAT eligibility requirements. To apply for an LL.B. Course at NLU, you must have completed the 12th grade with a grade point average of at least 45 percent. Similarly, to apply for an LL. M. course, you need to have graduated with an LL.B. Degree from a law university recognised by BCI. You may also apply if you are in your final year of law school, but you will need to present your degree Certificate when you apply for admission. To qualify, you must have at least a 50% in your law degree.

The legal maxims are part of the legal aptitude section of the CLAT paper. This is one of the more unpredictable topics, as some years there may be only three to four legal maxima, whereas in other years, like in 2017, there were around 15 maxima in the LA section. Therefore, for this topic, you need to stick to last year's papers and read selective maxims. Based on previous year's question papers, some examples of legal maxims are:
1. Habeas corpus
2. De jure
3. Ad hoc
4. Ex officio
5. Functus officio
You can look over the previous year's CLAT papers to note down the important ones to prepare.
