Yes, if your aim is the only law and the best law college. So you should drop a year. However, it is not compulsory if you are intelligent and prepared for the Common Law Admission Test, so you don't need to drop a year. The Common Law Admission Test is a centralized national-level government entrance test for admissions to 22 NLUs (national law universities) in India. Most self-financed and private law schools in India also use the CLAT scores for admissions to law colleges or institutes. I hope this will help you.

Out of the 23 NLUs (National Law Universities) in India, 22 participate in Common Law Admission Test. NLU, Delhi is the only NLU that doesn't participate in it and accepts AILET scores. Many top private law colleges also accept CLAT scores for student intake. So, I guess it would be safe to say that the best law colleges in India admit students into their UG and PG programs based on Common Law Admission Test scores. If you want to get into the corporate law sector, the NLUs will be appropriate, as most of their students are recruited on campus by private companies. According to placement ratings and popularity among law aspirants, these are some of the best colleges to pursue a three-year LL.B. After class 12 in Delhi, NCR:
1. Maharshi Dayanand University' Department of Law
2. MD U. Centre For Professional and Allied Studies
3. Gurugram University
Other than these you can pursue B.A. LL.B. Law course at following colleges
1. National Law University, Delhi
2. Delhi University's Faculty of Law
3. Jamia Milia Islamia' Faculty of Law
You may need to appear in law entrance exams such as CLAT to get admission into these colleges.

After completing your Bachelors degree you can apply for LL.B. Start preparing for LL.B. Entrence exam on the basis of merit you will get admission in law college. Thjs year entrance was held in month of August. After graduation LL.B. Course is 3 years.
