To apply for the Paramedical courses at the UG level of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, a candidate must appear for the Common Paramedical Entrance Test (CPET). For which, they must pay an examination fee of INR 3,000 for candidates of UR/OBC categories and INR 2,000 for candidates of SC/ST/PwD categories.

No, a candidate may only join one programme of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University at a time. This is because according to the UGC, which ABVMU Lucknow is recognised by a student can only pursue one Physical/Full-Time course at a time and ABVMU Lucknow only offers courses in Physical/Full-Time modes with no distance/open-learning modes available.

To enroll in the MBBS programme of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, a candidate must follow the steps below:
Step 1: Apply for NEET/UPNEET at the UG level
Step 2: Fill-in necessary details
Step 3: Pay application fees
Step 4: Appear for NEET/UPNEET
Step 5: Lock in selection/choices of preferred institute/location during counselling
Only candidates who receive a seat in a college that offers MBBS under ABVMU Lucknow will receive admission.

For the admission cycle of 2025 at Atal Bihari Vajpayee University in Lucknow the counselling process for BSc Nursing began on June 2, 2025 and ended on June 9, 2025. During this period candidates had to lock-in their choice of preferred institutions/locations and the results of seat allocation was announced on June 13, 2025.

Candidates who have appeared for entrance exams to enroll in Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences Lucknow must wait for release of merit list, after which they will undergo the counselling process where they must lock-in their selection/choice of preferred institutions or locations. Depending upon the candidate's rank on the merit-list and the competition for their choice of location/institution the final cutoff will be released on the official college admission portal.

A candidate may only apply for one course through one application form in Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences Lucknow. As each course has a course specific entrance exam, that must be accessed through different exam portals. For example: Students who wish to apply for UG level Nursing programmes must apply for CNET exams, while students who wish to apply for UG level Dental/Medical programmes must apply for NEET (UG) or UPNEET (UG).

According to official statements and brochures released by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences Lucknow only offers Online-mode of applications to any of their programmes. No applications or requests of admission by mail or post will be entertained. Interested candidates must apply online for the entrance exam of their respective course through the correct portal.

Both merit-based and needs-based scholarships are available at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences Lucknow. To apply for a scholarship, students must login to official government portals (samajkalyan.up.gov.in and scholarship.up.gov.in). These scholarships have been setup by the government of UP and the Department of Social Welfare to encourage students.
