Not so satisfied with the infrastructure but yes its faculty and ROI are very good.
Placements: Hi, I am Nikesh from the 2026/27 batch and pursuing graduation in geology. As it is a traditional course, almost no companies come to the campus; however, the doors are always open, and you can apply for off-campus placements or go for higher studies. Fortunately, our university has a good alumni network so there is no such thing as a lack of job opportunities.
Infrastructure: I am very dissatisfied with the infrastructure. This university is so crowded that the cyber library is almost always full, the infrastructure is very old and the classes are satisfactory. Talking about hostels, the buildings are old and the mess food is also not that good.
Faculty: The faculty are extremely helpful and qualified; I have no complaints about that; they are always there for you in terms of help or support. Geology is a highly relevant course and the competition is less. Every year, many students from our department get into GSI. The semester examinations are also not that difficult and passing percentages are also good.

Overall, this course and this department in our college are the best.
Placements: Speaking about the placements after B.Sc., we don't get as many placements and the job opportunities are very restricted. It is not about the college or a particular course after B.Sc. The job opportunities are very limited as compared to those after postgraduate studies.
Infrastructure: We've got a excellent air conditioning library with a very good atmosphere to study a good window view of the whole campus.
Faculty: The teachers are not only qualified, but they've also obtained their qualifications from prestigious institutions like Oxford, Chicago, Cambridge, and many more. The teaching quality is at a good level, and it is excellent. Although some of our teachers are retired, we wish that they could come to teach us again.
Other: I chose this course because I have had an interest in geographical stuff since I was a kid. After taking science in my senior secondary school, I didn't get any chance to study geology or geography, so after seeing this course in the institution, without any second thought, I chose it and enrolled in it. The geology department of Lucknow University is far better than most colleges and universities.

Review of Lucknow University.
Placements: About 70% to 85% of students at our college were placed. The average salary package offered by ONGC is 6 LPA. There is one central placement cell at Lucknow University from which students are hired by top-recruiting companies. The main endeavour of our college is to get students placed in reputed MNCs, government NGOs, and the private sector. All the students who are registered with CPC will be given placement assistance, counselling for employment, and even self-employment.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is better in the geology department than in other departments, and many rocks are there for practical purposes. The lab is good and most types of rock are provided for students. There is one departmental library where students have access to all books. There are also two libraries for all students, from where they can issue their books.
Faculty: Teachers here are well-qualified. Some of the teachers are not so good, but it is fine. The semester exams are neither difficult nor easy. The exams are average. There are 4 semesters and 2 examinations per semester. One is mid-semester and the other is the main semester. The mid-semester exam is worth 30 marks per paper, and the main semester exam is worth 70 marks per paper. There are some practical things too.

It is the best university in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
Placements: At Lucknow University, the salary package is not offered in Geology because it is a bachelor degree. None of the companies wants to hire bachelor students in their company as an employee. Companies want to hire atleast master degree students.
Infrastructure: The library is very good, and the classrooms are so good. Medical facilities, sports and canteen are also available in Lucknow University. Sports departments are also available here.
Faculty: Teachers in our department are good and very helpful for students. Their teaching qualities are the best. Semester exams are not so difficult. The pass percentage is 33%, and students also become ready for their next job.
Other: I have chosen Lucknow University because it is valuable for poor students. Scholarships are also provided to poor students by the Lucknow University administration. Events are also organised on the Lucknow University campus.

A review of Lucknow University.
Placements: There were no placement opportunities provided in the college for B.Sc. holders in geology. After doing masters, you will be able to get more beneficial placements. For placements, you should have at least a master's degree, other training certificates, and training programmes. You can also get summer vacation training and winter training from different institutes and companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure, faculty members and facilities of our department were the best when compared to all departments on the campus. Geology department was the best-rated department of the campus. The department had all the facilities like a water cooler, water purifiers and washrooms. There was also a student facility centre where you can get all the facilities.
Faculty: Teachers in this department are very helpful, especially research scholars who are very helpful for graduate students. The course curriculum of this department is well designed which is very helpful for GSI, GATE and other competitive exams. After the bachelor course, a master course is very important and more beneficial for further studies and placements.
Other: Scholarships were provided by the UP government and inspire award scholarships were also provided for these courses.
