MA Music courses in India educate the students about a vast range of subjects in Music. They cover the general history of music in India, the different musical forms, folk music. They also educate students about music forms around the world and the history behind them.

If a student wishes to pursue an MA Music degree from Delhi University (DU) they should first make sure that they qualify the eligibility criteria for the MA English course. Next, they will have to fill out the online application form with their details and documents. They will also have to pay a nominal admission application fees. The difference between MA Music and Post Graduate Diploma course in Music is that MA Music is completed in 2 years whereas PGD in Music is completed within 6 months to 1 year. Furthermore, many private music training institutes which are run by professional musicians or music directors offer the short-term PGD course whereas top universities and private colleges offer MA course which is longer in duration and students are admitted to it through entrance examination.

Yes, you can but the rules for it vary from university to university. Generally, the candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Music with a minimum 50% aggregate score in the final examination. There is no age limit for the course. The admission process can be either entrance exam-based or merit-based.

Ideally, you must pursue MCA .Interest can be fulfilled anytime with other means but try to plan that think which you like as well as possible and is your strength.

The cutoff for MA in Music at the Faculty of Arts, Dayalbagh Educational Institute has not been released officially by the institute. Candidates need to qualify for the basic eligibility criteria that is the candidate should have passed Graduate with Honours or Graduate with at least 55% marks or CGPA of 5.5/10 in the concerned subject.
