Candidate must have completed a Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Arts/ Science with Economics/ Mathematics as a subject from a recognized university to get eligible for the course.

It's the same thing. By 2017 all the IIMs were providing PGDM degree that doesn't mean that from 2018 all the PGDM degrees are of no use. In PGDM, you gain the knowledge of all the subjects from all the streams like finance, marketing, operations, sales, etc., and in the 2nd year, you need to choose your specialisation, whichever field you find interesting.
