College life of a xavierian (the worst).

Placements: 90% of BBM/BMS students got the placement but I don't know about the B.Com Student's placement data. I am a B.Com Student and I can roughly tell you what minimum and maximum package is offered to students. Minimum 3-4LPA and maximum 25-27LPA. Companies like TCS, DELOITTE, KPMG, JP MORGAN, etc. Have offered jobs in the B.Com course. Most of the Students in B.Com course are doing CAs so they opt for DELOITTE and KPMG and around 50-60% get that. They are hired as an assistant Articles in those companies most likely.

Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi system in the college. We have our own labs I think a very big lab with I guess 145+ computers. Every classroom has a projector screens with all equipments but some room are not air conditioned. The library is the building adjacent to the campus building owned by college. It is with all the possible facilities every book and many electronic systems to monitor on the students. The environment there is very studious. That's it.

Faculty: Many of the teachers there are renowned teachers who have achieved many things in their lives like S. Srimani sir, Basu sir have written their own books on their subjects. Their explaination quality is unmatchable. This course curriculum is relevant because apart from CU this colleges Syllabus is very different and very interesting in it's own. A student doing B.Com from St. Xavier's college has done half CA course already in life. The semester exams are very tough. These reminds us of our school days annual and half-yearly examination. They can be compared from that. Student here are for getting a Passing Marks of 40 out of 100. The 100 is sub divided into many parts. For instances, 2.5 marks for attendance, 2.5 for Assignments, 5 marks for seminar, 40 marks CIA exams which is given in terms of 10 marks, then semester exams of 80 marks. Then total is 100. Students struggle a lot while scoring bit marks day by day. A student cann absent theh classes because of attendance marks.

It is one of the best colleges.

Placements: Our college offers very good placements in the fourth semester. Many MNCs visit our college. Almost 80% of students got placed in companies. The average salary package offered is 19 LPA.

Infrastructure: The hostel facility is very good. It is huge. Its rooms are very good. We have a separate room in the hostel. The hostel provides very good food. The mess provides a variety of food items.

Faculty: The course is very good. All teachers are very good and highly qualified. Some of them are Ph.D. holders. Their teaching methods are new and very good. Every semester, we have exams. They are easy to score good marks.

Placements: Our college provides excellent placements. Top recruiting companies like Microsoft, HCL, Dell, Infotech, etc., visit our campus. The salary package offered is 19 LPA.

Infrastructure: In our college, the hostel is well-maintained and has a good interior. Rooms are clean. A canteen is available. The quality of the food in the canteen is delicious.

Xavier will make you a multitasker and a very hardworking student.

Placements: Those who applied for placement cells got jobs in good companies. For internships, 80% of those who applied were chosen. For my course, mostly HR positions were offered. I never did an internship, so I have no idea about the companies.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure was the best thing about the college; they had all the facilities except AC: labs, libraries, projectors, etc. everything was provided. Students have access to sports rooms, girls common rooms, and many other societies with personal rooms. In the case of hostels, I have no idea, but in the college canteen, food was cheap and good. Xaviers is known for its sports facilities.

Faculty: Teachers were highly qualified and knowledgeable; they were graduates of the best colleges with the best degrees, and they were very helpful too. Teaching quality varied with the teacher's ability to interact. Yes, the course was relevant for academically driven students. Exams were extremely difficult, with a 90% pass percentage.

Other: The course was very interesting, with an amazing syllabus planned for UG. The dissertation was the best thing about the course. Events, fests, and societies are the best part of college because academic life is too hectic.

Extracurricular activities are ongoing in the campus.

Placements: They can enroll in the placement cell which helps with placements, Some departments get quite good placements from reputed companies. After getting the degree, I plan on sitting for the JAM M.Sc. entrance exams. Also Really good for other departments like B.Com and economics but you usually don't look for placement after graduation in the arts stream. You have to go for Masters. So if you're a commerce or a Science student and you're looking for a college with good placement after graduation, St Xavier's College is one of the best colleges in the country and in Kolkata the best.

Infrastructure: To avail of the hostel facility, different amounts have to be paid and much costlier too. The hostel fee for Male is 50000 and for girls is 55000. Rooms are shared by 2 or 3 students. Each room has individual fans, lights, and plug points, etc., and is big enough. Study tables, cupboards, and beds are provided. Food quality in the mess is more or less good. Registration for the hostel must be done at the time of admission itself. The hostel is at 15mins walking distance from the college at 219/1 AJC Bose Road, Kolkata. My hostel experience was the best part of college life. I was on the 3rd floor and had the best room in the hostel. The hostel meals were also good. However, the cost for the hostel is pretty steep and increases every year and by a good amount Since the hostel was located in a posh area, we had access to every amenity.

Faculty: I have chosen this college because of its good education and this college provides very good faculty members to the student. The faculty-student ratio is quite good. The faculty members here are highly efficient and skilled and are well experience too. The faculty is just excellent and the teaching method is also amazing. The curriculum is designed with the active cooperation of experts from within and outside the organisation. They regularly take tests and the teaching here is the best. They provide all the valuable information from different books. The competitive exams are also held which are taken by different organizations which provide merit too. Every year 2 semesters are held which are quite touch enough to hardly score the pass marks. The teachers teach very practically and with uniqueness which I like the most and is very interesting too. Every month they take exams and quick tests are also held. The teachers work very hard and with efficiency which makes this college the one.

Yes, you can. I myself had this combination of subjects in my 11th and 12th. I have completed my Bachelors in microbiology from Calcutta University and am now pursuing my masters in the same from BHU. Just make sure that you score well in order to get yourself enrolled in a prestigious institution.
