M.Sc. Aquaculture or Master of Science in Aquaculture is a postgraduate Aqua Science course. Aquaculture, also known as aqua-farming, is the farming of aquatic organisms such as fish, crustaceans, mollusks, and aquatic plants. It includes the study of Aquatic Toxicology, Biodiversity, Fish Nutrition, Fish diseases, Immunology, and endocrinology. The faculty does investigations on varied aspects of fish, frog, broilers, and mice as experimental models. The duration of the course is two years and it is career orienting in nature which opens many career opportunities after passing it. The course is job orienting in nature that opens many opportunities after passing it. M.Sc. Aquaculture Eligibility
Students should have passed B.Sc. , with Zoology/Fisheries/Fishery Science/Aquaculture/Industrial Fish and Fisheries as one of the subjects in three subjects of equal importance/B.Sc. , Degree in Fisheries or B.F.Sc. There are provisions of entrance tests in a few of the universities as the entrance criterion.
