Your degree may be valid but it may be so that the West Bengal School Service Commission does not recognize distance degree and recognizes only regular degree. For this you will have to check their website. Along with this having the requisite % is also important.

The Joint Admission Test for M.Sc (JAM) is an all India examination conducted to provide admissions to various M.Sc (Two Year) / M.Sc Ph.D Dual Degree and other post-B.Sc Programmes based on the performance in a single test, Further 12th/HSC subjects are considered while admission, hence you are not eligible for M.Sc. Programs offered at IITs.

Pharma or BDS or Bachelors degree with physics, chemistry, zoology, botany, biochemistry, microbiology, applied Science. You are required to appear entrance exam for admission. Some well reputed institutes demand minimum 50% in entrance.
