Yes, JAM is an entrance exam specifically for M.Sc Courses IIT's. It is mandatory only if you want to pursue an M.Sc at one of the IIT's. Other colleges have their own eligibility criteria. IIT JAM Eligibility Criteria mandates: candidates to hold a Bachelor's Degree. Candidates belonging to General/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category must have at least 55% aggregate in Bachelor's. The marks secured include all the subjects studied at the graduation level, without rounding off the marks. IIT JAM is one of the toughest exams conducted in India. Yes, if you have not enrolled yourself in the counselling process, then there will be a spot round counselling where you have to go to the preferred university of your choice and then apply for your M.Tech. That happens at the end of counselling.

Applicant seeking admission to M.Sc should have done a bachelor degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% (General Category) and 45% (SC/ST/OBC).
Admission to said programs is granted on the basis of a valid score in TSICET (Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test).

Candidates have to fill the online application form and obtain the brochure which is available on the University website.
Candidate can register themselves by submitting the application fees of Rs.300/- for (open category) and Rs.200/- for (reserved category).
Candidate must have to submit DD of Rs.750/- (for the open category) and Rs.500/- (for reserved category) in favour of Registrar, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, payable at Amravati from any nationalized bank.
