SMEAT 2025 - Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design, & Technology will conduct SMEAT Entrance Examination Round 3 for B.Des programme on June 22, 2025. SMEAT results will be declared on June 27, 2025.

For SMEAT M.Des programme, Round 3 Interview-Counselling will start on June 18, 2025, to June 28, 2025. SMEAT 2025 M.Des Results will be out on June 16, 2025, for Round 2 and on July 04, 2025, for Round 3.

It is Mandatory to carry the hall ticket, issued to you, along with a valid ID (issued and recognised by a government authority, such as a Driving Licence, Passport, PAN or Aadhar). The exam will be administered in a centre-based mode with two parts: Test 1 and Test 2. Test 1 (T1) is a General Test of Ability, while Test 2 (T2) is a Test of Theme or Context-Based Test. Applicants needed to appear in both Test 1 and Test 2. Test 1(T1) is of 40 minutes for 40 marks, and Test 2 (T2) is of 80 minutes for 60 marks. The total duration of the exam is 120 minutes, and the total marks is 100. Test 1 (T1) will be conducted from 8.30 AM - 10 AM, while Test 2 (T2) will be conducted from 10.15 AM - 11.45 AM. 

Q:   What is the SMEAT exam pattern?
A: 

The SMEAT exam is conducted in two parts - Test 1 and Test 2. The duration of each test is 90 minutes and carries 50 marks.

Both the parts are mandatory.

Test 1 (T1) is a General Test of Ability, while Test 2 (T2) is a Test of Creative Competencies. 

The candidate needs to carefully go through the exam pattern to prepare for the exam.

Q:   Do I need to solve sample papers for SMEAT 2025 exam preparation?
A: 

Sample papers are good resources/ tools to prepare for the SMEAT 2025 entrance exam.

So, you must use it as a part of your exam preparation. You can solve sample papers early in the exam preparation stage.

For exam, after completing a few chapters, solve the relevant problems in the sample paper. By solving sample papers can fix silly mistakes and improve your problem-solving and time management skills.

Q:   When will SMEAT 2025 exam be conducted?

The Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design, & Technology will conduct the SMEAT 2025 exam around the 1st week of April 2025.

The SMEAT entrance exam is conducted in multiple rounds (THREE or more). The candidate has the option to apply in any of the admission rounds.

The application form for SMEAT 2025 is expected to open for Round I tentatively in the 2nd week of January 2025. Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria may apply.

Q:   Is the SMEAT exam easy?
A: 

According to students, SMEAT exam is in the range of average, which is neither too easy and nor too tough. The candidate, however, has to know the syllabus and its core subjects thoroughly in order to score well.

Candidates appearing for SMEAT can also appear in other popular private entrance exams like MITID DAT, Pearl Academy, and FDDI AIST.

There are then the top-tier entrance exams like NIFT, NID, and UCEED. 

Q:   When will the results for SMEAT exam (Round 1) be announced?
A: 

The results for the Round I of SMEAT 2025 entrance exam will be declared on April 30, 2025. The results will declared online at the admission portal of the institute. To check their results, candidates need to log in using their candidate credentials.

The SMEAT 2025 exam for Round I will be conducted on April 16-17, 2025.

Note that the SMEAT 2025 exam will be conducted in multiple rounds.

Q:   Does Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology offer Diploma courses through SMEAT exam?

Yes, Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology offer one-year PG Diploma course. The PGDP programme allows the individual to choose among two course offerings, the Bridge and the Finish, each of which have been designed to align to different levels of learning.

The SMEAT 2025 exam for Round I will be conducted around the 1st week of April 2025. The application form will open in January 2025 (tentative).

Q:   Will the SMEAT exam be conducted offline or online?

The SMEAT 2025 exam will be conducted in an online mode at 10 cites across India. The exam will be conducted in multiple rounds. The exam for Round I for BDes was held on April 19, 2025 and the result will be out on April 30, 2025. Q:   How many times is the SMEAT exam conducted in a year?
A: 

SMEAT is a national level entrance exam conducted by the Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology. For the current academic session, the entrance exam has three admission rounds. Note that for each round, the application process will be conducted separately. 

The 2nd round of admission process is currently ongoing.

The application form is open from April 6 to May 24, 2024. 

The entrance exam for Round II will be conducted on June 1, 2024.

Q:   When is the right time to solve sample papers for SMEAT 2025?
A: 

Sample papers can be solved as part of one’s exam preparation startegy very early on. 

If you have completed a few topics given in the SMEAT 2025 syllabus, you may solve all the relevant problems related to the chapters that you have completed. Once you have completed the syllabus, you will be able to attempt the entire sample paper.

It is recommened to solve as many sample papers it is possible.

Q:   How do I download my SMEAT 2025 admit card?
A: 

The admit card for will be released within a few days of the closure of the SMEAT 2025 application form. Admit cards will be issued to all candidates who successfully complete the registration process.

Follow these steps to download the SMEAT 2025 admit card:

  3. A log-in window will open

Q:   Can I solve sample papers of other entrance exams like NIFT to appear in WWI exam?
A: 

NIFT is one of the most important design entrance exams in the country.

It is also amongst the toughest and most competitive. 

The good thing is there are parts between the two exams that overlap. So, you may also solve NIFT sample papers.

By solving these papers, you can improve your problem-solving skills manifold.

SMEAT 2025 Application Process

Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design, & Technology accepts applications for SMEAT 2025 in three rounds. Candidates can register for SMEAT 2025 Round 3 by filling out the online application form. The last date to apply for SMEAT 2025 for B.Des and M.Des programmes is May 28, 2025, and June 08, 2025, respectively. 

The application form for SMEAT 2025 Round I opened on December 15, 2024. The last date to apply for the round was March 28, 2025, for Round 1. The SMEAT exam was conducted on April 19, 2025, and the result was announced on April 30, 2025.

How to apply for SMEAT 2025

Step 1: Fill out the Application Form

Register by entering your name, mobile number, and email ID. After the candidate account is created, log in to fill in the rest of the details. Here, you will have to enter academic, personal, and contact details. Also, upload your documents and pay the application fees. 

Step 2: Pay the application fee

Candidates will have to pay an application fee of INR 5,000. The fee has to be paid online using a Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.

Step 3: Download SMEAT Admit Card

Admit cards will be sent to the registered email ID of the candidate after the successful completion of the registration process. The admit card will contain the link and the timings of the exam, as all the tests of SMEAT will be conducted as a Remote Proctored Computer-based Online Test.

Step 4: Appear for Srishti Entrance and Aptitude Test (SMEAT)

SMEAT is a written examination of three hours' duration. The maximum mark candidates can score in the SMEAT exam is 100. Aspirants need to clear the SMEAT written exam to secure admission to design programs offered at Srishti.

Step 5: Check SMEAT Results

Candidates can check their results for the SMEAT exam on the official website of Srishti Institute of Art, Design, and Technology by entering their admit card number.

SMEAT Eligibility Criteria 2025

The candidate must ensure they meet the SMEAT 2025 eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. Note that all documents will be verified at the time of counseling. If any anomaly is found, the candidate may be disqualified.

Eligibility Criteria for the UG Programme

Applicants should have successfully completed any ONE of the following minimum educational qualifications:

  • National and international boards like CBSE/ISC/IB/AICE/A Level
  • State Board, Junior College, Intermediate, HSSC, PUC, Senior Secondary
  • National Institute of Open Schooling, New Delhi (NIOS)– Senior Secondary
  • NSQF Certification Level 4
  • High School Diploma (USA/Canada) – Senior Secondary completed with equivalence as per AIU
  • State Board of Technical Education – Diploma equivalent to PUC/Class 12

Note: Please note that all awarding bodies must be recognized by the state and/or central government institutions. Attach two copies of the relevant certificates.

Age Limit: There is no age limit for candidates applying for UG course admissions at the Srishti Institute of Art, Design, and Technology. However, the official website informs that in case students above 30 years of age want to apply for the UG programs, they are informed that the average age of the class at Srishti is 18 to 25 years. 

Eligibility Criteria for PG Professional Programme

Applicants should have successfully completed any ONE of the following:

  • NSQF Certification Level 8 in the relevant industry sector
  • National and International Universities – 3 year Undergraduate Degree + 1 year Postgraduate Diploma Program (PGDP) from a recognized University
  • National and International Universities – 4 year Undergraduate Degree
  • Professional Institute – 5 year Undergraduate Degree

Age Limit: There is no age limit for candidates to apply for PG courses. However, candidates may be informed that the average age of the class at Srishti is 25 to 35 years.

Eligibility Criteria for Postgraduate Arts Programme

Aspirants seeking admission in MA Full Mode, MA Dual Mode, as well as PG Diploma courses at Srishti need to fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria:

  • National and International Universities – Three years Undergraduate Degree
  • National and International Universities – Four-years Undergraduate Degree
  • Design Institutes – Four-years Undergraduate Diploma in Art and/or Design
  • Professional Institutes – Five-years Undergraduate Degree
  • NSQF Certification Level 7 in the relevant industry sector

Age Limit: There is no age limit for candidates to apply for PG course admissions at Srishti Institute of Art, Design, and Technology. However, the official website informs that in case students above 35 years of age want to apply for the PG programmes, they are informed that the average age of the class at Srishti is 25 to 35 years.

Q:   Can I apply for SMEAT 2025 even if I don't meet the eligibility criteria?

The candidate mustn’t apply if they don’t meet the eligibility criteria.

It is because exam officials will verify the eligibility conditions before seat allotment. If any candidate is found lacking, he or she will be disqualified.

Further, if the candidate is found forging their eligibility, they may not only be disqualified, but criminal charges may also be levied against such candidates.

Q:   At what time do I need to report at SMEAT 2025 exam centre?
A: 

The exam center reporting time will be mentioned on the SMEAT 2025 amdit card.

Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design, & Technology will issue admit cards a few weeks before the exam. Download the admit card using candidate credetials.

On exam day, reach the centre per the reporting time. Noe that latecomers may be denied entry.

Q:   When will the NIFT 2025 application form open?
A: 

The online application form for NIFT 2025 is closed.

With regular fees, the application was open from November 22-January 6, 2025. With late fees, applications were accepted from Janaury 7-9, 2025.

The application was available online at niftadmissions.in. The NTA also released the detailed admission notification, including the eligibility criteria and information brochure.

Candidates who met the precribed eligibility criteria for their programme could fill out the NIFT 2025 application form before the last date.

Note that NIFT application form will be for admission to the B. Des, M.Des B.FTech M.FTech and MFM courses offered by participating colleges.

Q:   Do I need to carry any photo ID proof in SMEAT 2025 exam?
A: 

Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design, & Technology will conduct the SMEAT exam for admission to design courses offered by it.

On exam day,  candidates must bring the admit card and a valid photo ID proof on exam day. Without these documents, the candidate will not be allowed to take the exam.

The id proof must be displayed when asked by exam officials.

SMEAT 2025 Admission Process

Candidates seeking admission to Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design, & Technology will have to follow the process as under:

Step 1: The Candidate has to first appear in the SMEAT entrance exam.

Step 2: Portfolio Review & Counselling

Candidates will be shortlisted for the portfolio and counseling round based on their performance in the written exam. The mode of conducting the interview round is conversational and the interviewer tries to determine “the suitability of the candidate to the culture and pedagogy of Srishti”, according to the official website.

Step 3: View the Final Merit List

Q:   When do I need to start my preparation for NIFT 2025 exam?
A: 

The NIFT exam is among the competitive and is also considered among the toughest. So, it is recommended that the candidate starts their exam preparation early. NIFT exam has various components like written exam and Situation Test /Personal Interview. Candidates seeking admission to the B. Des and M.Des courses need to prepare for both the CAT and GAT. The CAT is a drawing-based exam. Now unless the candidate is already well-versed, the exam will be very difficult. So, start early. The same goes for the GAT.

Q:   When will the application forms for NID 2025 be released?
A: 

NID application form 2025 opened on September 3, 2024. The application form is open online at the NID admission portal -admissions.nid.edu. Candidates who meet the program-specific eligibility criteria may apply before the last date.

The NID application form is for admission to the B. Des and M.Des courses offered by participating colleges. 

The last date to apply for NID DAT 2025 is December 6, 2024 (extended from December 3). The candidate can also edit the submitted application from December 4-9, 2024.

The NID DAT 2025 (Prelims) exam will be conducted on January 5, 2025.

Q:   When will the NID DAT 2025 Prelims exam be conducted?
A: 

The National Institute of Design (NID) will conduct the DAT Prelims exam on January 5, 2025.

The B.Des exam will be held from 10 am - 1 pm; meanwhile, the M.Des exam will be held from 10 am - 12.30 am.

The DAT Prelims for the B.Des programme will be conducted in a paper-and-pencil/pen mode. The question paper may  incude both textual and visual questions. Other details like duration of the exam, marking scheme, etc. will be published in the DAT Prelims admit card.

The candidate needs to report for the exam at 8 am. Gates closing time is 9.30 am. 

The DAT Prelims exam for the M.Des programme will be conducted offline and include a mix of objective and subjective questions. The paper will have a total of 100 questions.

Q:   When will the NIFT 2025 entrance exam be conducted?
A: 

The written tests for the NIFT 2025 exam will be held on February 9, 2025. The detailed schedule has also been released.

The written tests will comprise a General Ability Test (GAT) and a Creative Ability Test (CAT). GAT is mandatory for all candidates, but CAT is only required for B. Des and M. Des candidates. 

The GAT test will be considered in a computer-based mode, whereas the CAT will be offline based. Note that scores of the written exams will be used to shortlist candidates for a Situation Test/ Personal Interview.

Q:   Can I carry electronic gadgets inside SMEAT 2025 exam hall?
A: 

No, the candidate is not allowed to carry electronic gadgets inside the exam hall.

Any candidate who is found in possession of such items may be disqualified. 

So, don’t carry such items inside the exam hall. Follow the guidelines issued by the exam conducting authority.

Q:   When will the draft answer key for SMEAT 2025 be released?
A: 

Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design, & Technology will not release any draft answer key for the SMEAT 2025 exam.

Since there is no keys, there will be no answer key challenge option as well.

SMEAT Exam 2025 Pattern

SMEAT exam pattern 2025 is such that the design aptitude test will be conducted in three hours' duration. Candidates are informed that they do not need to appear for the SMEAT exam for UG admissions under the below-mentioned circumstances:

  • Applicants who have taken the UCEED exam can choose to be exempt from test 1 if their All India Rank is 600 or below, provided they can submit this result at the time of application.
  • Applicants who have taken the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) between March 2024 and June 2025 and whose composite score is 1100 or above can choose to be exempt from test 1, provided they can submit this result at the time of application.
Test 2 (Test of Creative Competencies)
  • All applicants are required to undertake Test 2, a studio-based activity test. This test will be based on a given theme or context, which will be sent to the applicant after verification of eligibility and other required documents.
  • Applicants are advised to mail hard copies of completed forms with all necessary annexures/attachments at the earliest, giving them time for test preparation.
Synchronous Group Discussion
  • A team-based activity and a group/individual counseling session will follow Test 2. The counseling session is conversational in style. All applicants are required to participate in this test.

Note: It is mandatory for all applicants to take Test 1 and 2 unless they are exempt from Test 1 as described above.

Q:   What will happen if I do not accept my SMEAT 2025 seat allotment?
A: 

If the candidate doesn’t accept the seat allocated to him or her during SMEAT 2025 counseling, the allotment will be canceled.

Also, the vacant seat will be allocated to the candidate next in the order of merit.

So, if the candidate wants to retain the seat, they must make the payment before the deadline.

SMEAT Exam 2025 Admit Card

Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design, & Technology will issue admit cards to all candidates who successfully complete the SMEAT 2025 application process. The admit card will be issued online at the admission portal of the institute. The application process for Phase 1 is closed. The last date was March 28, 2025, for Round 1. Admit cards are typically released two weeks before the exam date. Candidates should regularly check their registered email and the official website for updates. The Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design, and Technology has announced the SMEAT 2025 exam dates. The exam will be conducted in multiple rounds.

Note that is mandatory for the candidate to appear in all the stages of the WWI entrance exam. Or else the candidate will not be included in the merit list.

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for UCEED 2025?
A: 

To appear in the UCEED 2025 exam, the candidate needs to meet the following criteria:

  • Age limit: The candidate must be born on or after October 1, 2000. In the case of candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories, there is a relaxation of 5 years.

  • Number of attempts - A candidate is allowed to appear in UCEED exam for a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years.

  • Academic requirements - The candidate must have passed 10+2 exam in 2024 or 2025. Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination in 2023 or earlier are NOT eligible.

Q:   What is the application fee for UCEED 2025 exam?
A: 

The application form for UCEED 2025 has opened. As per the official notification, the application fee has been revised.

Here we provide the category-wise UCEED application fee.

  • Female candidates (all categories) and SC/ST/PwD candidates had to pay INR 2,000.
  • All other candidates needed to pay INR 4,000 as the application fee.

Mode of fee payment

The fee has to be paid online using credit card/ debit card/ internet banking. Note that the UCEED application fee is no-refundable. This means, once the fee is paid, it will not be refunded whether you appear in the UCEED 2025 exam or not.

Design Aptitude is a test that is a part of most of the Design entrance exams in India. Through this test, the Design institutes examines the designing and creative ability of candidates.
