In most likelihoods, the guy will be recruited for one position only, which can be either in management or in code development.
Package differs from company to company. The average package of a software developer is 4-5 LPA in India. It depends on your experience & skills.
The average salary of an MBA graduate from a normal B-School is 3-4 LPA. Possibilities are higher as an MS in CS student.
