Apart from IIT, top colleges for civil engineering are National Institute of Technology, R.V.College of Engineering, Delhi Technological University, College of Engineering Pune, UPES Dehradun,Lovely Professional University etc.
Actually I did MBA from Lovely Professional University but I have one friend who has done B.Tech Civil Engineering From LPU.He told me B. Tech in civil engineering course involves so much more than theoretical know-how. In addition to classroom lectures, students here learn via hands-on experiences which include site visits, lab sessions and so on. PPTs, animations and similar technological techniques are a regular part of classroom teaching too.
The laboratories are designed to enable various assessments like soil testing, cement testing, concrete testing etc.The industry experts are involved deep in development of the design of curriculum to match up the industry expectations. They frequently refurnish what they deliver.
