Astrophysics is really a specialized branch of physics and the knowledge of certain areas of physics is a must. Done your graduation in engineering in a civil branch which is not actually related to physics or definitely astrophysics. The eligibility criteria of M.Sc. Microbiology of ANUCDE is given below.
Eligibility : B.Sc with Micro Biology/ Botany/ Zoology/ Bio-Chemistry/ Agriculture/Aquaculture/ Pharmacy/ Medical Lab Technology/ Biotechnology/ veterinary Science.
So from above B.Sc. Nursing students are not eligible for the M.Sc. Microbiology of ANUCDE.

Hello Jennifer, you are an engineering graduate with ECE branch and then for having one and half years of experience in an insurance related company and now you want to pursue genetic engineering.
