The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has introduced a five year integrated (B.Sc-M.Sc) integrated course in Ayurveda Biology. Candidates willing to take admission in the integrated course in Ayurveda Biology can apply for the course can apply which is open for the coming academic session (2020-21). Admission in JNU integrated course will be considered on the basis of JNUEE entrance examination which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). JNUEE application deadline is May 15, 2020. Jagdesh Kumar, JNU vice-chancellor through a tweet said that in Europe more people are interested in Ayurveda, the traditional healing art of India. He added that the first university degree (M.Sc in Ayurvedic Medicine) in Germany in cooperation with Middlesex University, London) produces skilled professionals with appropriate knowledge of Ayurveda. In another tweet, he quoted a saying by National Ayurvedic Medical Association, the USA which says that the origin of Ayurveda is dated back over 5000 years ago in India and the Ayurveda focuses on harmonizing the unique constitution of an individual with the natural rhythms of our world. JNU has also published UGC helpline number and email ID on the official website for students to ask any query related to coronavirus pandemic. The instruction was received to all the educational institutes in India by UGC to set up a task force to handle queries and grievances of students, teachers and institutes arose due to COVID-19 pandemic. thanks.

Stream: Astrophysics

M.Sc. In Astrophysics is a full-time postgraduate course which covers both theoretical and observational aspects of astrophysics, with the course modules consisting of one compulsory module focused on building research skills in Astrophysics, and a variety of different optional modules that focus on topics such as Stars and Nebula, Gravitational Dynamics, and Accretion Physics. Enrolled students are trained in not only the fundamental aspects of Astrophysics, but also transferable skills such as programming, data analysis, problem solving, scientific writing, presentation and Science outreach, enhancing employability in and out of academia. This is a 2- year long course divided into two semesters, and the starting salary offered in India for successful postgraduates of the course lies between INR 5,000 and 60,000 monthly. The minimum eligibility required to be MET for admission to the course is graduation completed with Science from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate score of 50%. Admission to the course is conducted in 2 stages:
Institutional Test. Personal Interview- involving assessment of fitness, work experience, publications and statement of purpose. Most colleges admit students to the course on the basis of their performance in the relevant entrance test. Some institutions/ universities conduct their own entrance tests for offering admission. BHU 2020 Cut Off will be released through online mode. It will be published by the Banaras Hindu University. The university provides admissions into the UG, PG, and Diploma/ Certificate programmes. The cut-off will be released after the successful conduction of the entrance exam for various courses. BHU cut off will decide the eligibility of the candidates.
