A special committee made up of academic specialists is established by JAM 2024 examination conducting authority i.e., IIT Madras to examine the complaints and make conclusions regarding the contested IIT JAM 2024 official answer keys. Candidates have the chance to submit objections after the release of the IIT JAM 2024 provisional answer keys. IIT Delhi, the examination conducting body for the IIT JAM 2025 examination for the academic year 2025-2026 conducted the examination on February 2, 2025. The JAM 2025 examination conducted for 7 subjects across the nation.
According to the examination conducting authority, IIT JAM 2025 results will be declared on March 19, 2024. The results will be declared in the online mode, in the form of scorecards. Test takers need to visit the official website of IIT JAM 2025 for downloading the results. The link for the same will be provided soon, when the results will be out.

JAM 2026 Examination will be conducted in SEVEN subjects, also referred to as Test Papers; Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS), and Physics (PH). The medium for all the Test Papers is English only.
JAM 2026 examination pattern is divided in such a way that the exam will be conducted in the form of three sections ie., Section A, B and C.

JAM 2026 Examination for all the Test Papers will be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT) where the candidates will be shown the questions in a random sequence on a computer screen.
Section - A contains a total of 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) involving 10 questions of one mark each and 20 questions of two marks each. Each MCQ has four choices out of which only one choice is the correct answer. Candidates can mark their answer by clicking one of the choices. A wrong answer will result in negative marks. For each wrong answer to 1 mark
questions, 1/3 mark will be deducted and similarly for each wrong answer

IIT Bombay, the examination-conducting body, will be conducting IIT JAM 2026 for the academic year 2026-2027. Aspirants of IIT JAM 2026 examination must go through the exam pattern carefully before starting the preparation.
The JAM 2026 examination will be conducted in such a way that the question paper for each subject will have 60 questions. These 60 questions will be in the format of MCQ, MSQ and NAT type.

Yes, definitly you are eligible to appear for the IIT JAM exam if you are a 5th semester student with Zoology, Botany, and Chemistry as your subjects. The IIT JAM eligibility criteria for the Chemistry stream requires the candidate to have a Bachelor's degree in any Science discipline with Chemistry as one of the subjects. The Chemistry subject should be for at least three years/six semesters.
But make sure that the IIT JAM exam is a competitive exam and you need to prepare well to score well. You can start by studying the IIT JAM syllabus and solving practice questions.

The difficulty level of IIT JAM is moderate to tough. The difficulty level for subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics is tougher as compared to the IIT JAM subjects of Economics, Biotechnology and Geology.
If we compare the difficulty level of IIT JAM examination with CUET PG exam, ISI Admission test, NEST exam, IISER Entrance examination, then it will be found that IIT JAM examination is comparetively tougher than the other top colleges/ universities entrance examination.
