Hello,
Yes, at that CAT score, you can surely expect calls from the top IIMS. Since you have cleared those backlogs, they shouldn't matter much. Still, to be on the safer side, do prepare for the questions asked on the backlogs during the interviews. Good luck with the exam preparation.

Hi Smit, Just like the way every student from every other undergraduate domain gets into Iims - by writing CAT and acing it. As a B.Com student, I believe that you must be thinking that you are at a disadvantage because you are up against a lot of engineers in the country. So Yes, If you score more than 90 percentile - you can get admission in IIM even with Commerce background. Although 85 percentile might get chance in the last cutoff - but you should target for 90 plus to be sure of getting through.

Hi Sparsh,
90th percentile is not that difficult a target to achieve. Based on last year's paper, if a student had attempted ~25 questions in Verbal, ~12 in DILR and ~20 in Quant, he/she would have scored 90th percentile in each. With good preparation of fundamentals and rigorous practice, this is a very achievable target. I am going to jot down a few critical things to keep in mind while preparing.
Prepare from basics - No fancy shortcuts and gimmicks
Try to take some coaching from nearby CAT coaching centres. They will help you a lot in preparation.
