The best time would be to join sometime around June/July during your final year of B.Sc. 3 to 4 months of sincere effort is enough for CAT. CAT is conducted in Nov/Dec every year.

For MBA programme, there are many exams like CAT, XAT SNAP and CMAT that you need to appear for. CAT is the most prominent test, whereas, SNAP is a specific test for Symbiosis management programme only. As I have said, definitely it is valid as Himalayan University is a UGC recognized university along with many registrations. It is not a fake university, so it's B.Sc certificate is definitely valid for CAT ICET and other entrance exams. Good Luck.
