To crack MBA entrance exams like CAT you should start preparation from today itself. You can join some good coaching institute or at least a test series. You must practice for the exam daily. More than hard work you should focus on smart studies. Read editorials, magazines or anything good. Manage your time in such a manner that it will help in dedicating more time towards preparation.

For PGDM, there are even more good colleges in Pune. Like ISBS, BIMM, Symbiosis. I would suggest you to go with these options. They provide very fancy packages as well.

Both courses are good in their field. It all depends on you that which course you want to pursue as a career perspective. Journalism is about media, social. Work and many more with creative mind. You can not make a decision on the basis of the expected salary. MBA is about a master in the business field. Both the fields will give you different exposure. PGDM is equivalent to an MBA and is a professional course that provides ample opportunities for placement after the course completion. There are many colleges offering good placement opportunities wherein the average package starts with 7 lacs and the highest goes up to 18 lacs and more also.
