That is a big gap, and to be frank you have to justify it in the interview. But, I think you can face it if you have some extraordinary skills to impress the interviewers.

Hi Dear,
Having said that, technically, MBA is a degree, which established university is deemed to offer. PGDM, however, is Diploma, which non-university generally offer. IIMS, before IIM-Bill, used to offer Diploma only. This is the main difference between the post graduate programme and the executive MBA programs.

No, there is no such difference between MBA in HRM and PGDM in HR. It is the naming convention which has to be followed. If any institution is not having university status, then it can only give out Diplomas and not degrees and MBA is a degree and PGDM is a Diploma, which is equivalent to MBA by Indian Association of Universities. So, earlier IIMs were giving out PGDMs, but now they have shifted to MBA after cabinet has claw Fred the bill.

Since, nowadays MBA has been the most common choices after graduation. But, MBA is a PG degree so it will be of much importance, only if you pursue it from well-established and recognized institute. Because nowadays having a degree is not a big thing but if you have the industry oriented knowledge it will be much easier to grab a good job. You can prepare for CAT and if you score a good score you can get a good college. So, be calm and take your decision wisely while making a choice. All the best.
