Yes, MBOSE uses the concept known as stepwise marking. This means that even if the final answer is incorrect, marks are given for correct steps, logic, or calculations within the solution. The marking scheme is designed to reward effort and understanding, even if the final result is not accurate.

Check more details here:
  • Stepwise Marking:
Each question is broken down into steps, and each step is assigned a specific weightage. If a student correctly solves a particular step, they receive the corresponding marks, regardless of whether the final answer is correct.

The difficulty level of MBOSE Class 12 board exams can vary from year to year. It depends on several factors, including the individual student's preparation, the specific subjects, and the exam format.

Generally, students find the following points relevant when assessing the toughness of MBOSE board papers:

In case you are unable to attend a MBOSE HSSLC board exam, you will be awarded zero marks in the subject. Eventually, if you're unable to clear the exams, you will be asked to re-appear for the same in the next academix year. Thus, it is better to focus and study hard and not skip or leave your exam to pass with flying colours.

MBOSE stands for Meghalaya Board of School Education. It conducts board exams every year for Classes 10, 12 students in the state. The board prescribes the syllabus and pattern for the classes, and also releases sample papers for practice.

Students passed from MBOSE can pursue higher education from anywhere in the world as this is a widely accepted board.

Marking done by Meghalaya Board is fair and lenient. After the evaluators are done with the checking, the answer sheet goes for another round of random checking by the supervisor, to ensure it's fairness.

Thus, students must not worry about the strict/lenient checking by the evaluators and focus on completing their syllabus and ensuring that their preparataion strategy is on point so that they do not have to worry about the checking.

When appearing for the MBOSE HSSLC 12th board exams, you must feel relaxed and comfortable. Yes, you will be allowed to go to the washroom during the examination but only once and with an invigilator. Students often use washroom for using unfair means and cheat in board exams, however, they must know that the invigilator can frisk them anytime during the exam duration. So, it is recommended to use washroom only when needed.

No, Meghalaya board stopped conducting the MBOSE Supplementary exams for Class 12 from the academic year 2025. It does not conduct the improvement exams also. Thus, students who are unable to clear their MBOSE exams 2026 will have to appear again the next year for their exams.

However, the board does offer the facility of rechecking/revaluation to its class 12 students. In case students feel they should have scored higher in a subject. they can apply for revaluation of their answer scripts.
