Before planning for any examination, it is very important to check out some basic but important points. One of the most important point before applying any course is the eligibility. It needs to be checked whether the candidate is eligible for appearing for desired course or not. The students who are interested in BCA as their higher studies must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
Candidate Should be a citizen of India.
Candidate must have passed class 12th or senior secondary examination with at least 50% marks including English.
The 12th examination must be passed/Appearing with mathematics as a compulsory subject.
The minimum age limit is 17 years and the maximum age varies between 22-25 years.
The students are generally admitted on the basis of personal interview and written examination conducted by various institutes/universities.
Some institutes/universities admit student on merit basis.
The merit is prepared on the basis of candidates performance in the qualifying examination (12th)
But, first you have to complete your graduation.

Jobs in Government Sector
Candidates can search for jobs in the government sector after MCA since many opportunities have opened up for them nowadays. They can take part in various government examinations like UPSC, SSC, PSC, public sector bank exams, etc. The candidates will be posted to various government departments after a final interview once they clear the exams.
Central Government Jobs after MCA
Many central government companies also recruit MCA graduates. The companies like NHPC, GAIL, IOC, NTPC, etc. intake these graduates after organizing a written test and interviews. Other reputed companies like AAI select the candidates for the posts like Junior Executives, etc.
These graduates can also join as management trainees. Various public sectors bank such as SBI, IOB, etc. recruits these graduates for the posts of Clerks and POs.
