Hello Ashkin,
It is very nice to hear from you that you are interested in the mechatronics branch of engineering even though you have just appeared for your class 12th. Let me first congratulate you for deciding your aim as to what you want to become in your life. This can be termed as almost half the battle won. Mechatronics as branch has made its appearance only recently but it has found many takers in the industry. This is now perhaps the highly sought after branch by the students because placements are quite good and in the years to come placements are expected to only become better and better. In view of this I would like to advis

Scope of Mechatronics also extends to areas of Artificial Intelligence, Industrial Automation and VLSI design. Design Engineer, Product Development Engineer, etc. are the common job profiles in which BE/B.Tech graduates in Mechatronics are employed. Mechatronic engineering is an emerging field, but it has been around in one form or another for some time. Mechatronic engineers have been cleverly disguised as many of the following: Automation Engineer, Control System Engineer, Data Logging Engineer, Instrumentation Engineer, Project Engineer, Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, and Service Engineer.

Hi, You can try both, if in India IITs are the best. If you have very good academic percentile, a strong profile and finance is also not an issue you can consider trying abroad. Gaining international experience is very important. Universities abroad also are more into practical and hands on training.

Hi,
Mechatronics engineering is a multidisciplinary segment of the engineering field. Rather than embrace traditional divisions of engineering as distinct entities, it combines electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, and control engineering. In India, mechatronics is not that good filed for making a career but if you outside India such as Germany, USA, UK, Russia you'll find there is a huge demand for mechatronics engineers with good knowledge. Even the companies which manufactures the medical machinery needs the mechatronics engineer. Mechanical Engineering is also provide same opportunity but mechatronic

As per my idea, there is a lot of scope in mechatronics branch in India. It contributes to the development of new technologies, automation, good practices in the industry, innovation of processes, products and systems. It also opens the way to specializations in several important fields such as medicine, aeronautics, chemistry and information technologies. So, if you want to go for this branch, it is an evergreen branch but the main factor is it depends on the college. So, all the best for your future.

Mechatronics is a field that can be considered relatively recent when compared to the various subcategories of engineering (even though it's been around for over 40 years). It is basically is a design process and new form of engineering that includes a combination of mechanical, electrical, telecommunications, control and computer engineering. So, the first thing that comes to anyone's head when thinking of mechatronics is a robot. Robots are the pinnacle of mechatronics engineering and to a certain extent correctly represent what mechatronics is all about. It's a lot of electronics and computer engineering implemented to control a mec

Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary field of Science that includes a combination of mechanical engineering, electronics, computer engineering, telecommunications engineering, systems engineering and control engineering. As technology advances, the sub-fields of engineering multiply and adapt. Mechatronics' aim is a design process that unifies these sub-fields. Originally, mechatronics just included the combination of mechanics and electronics, therefore the word is a combination of mechanics and electronics; however, as technical systems have become more and more complex the definition has been broadened to include more technical areas
