If they meet the requirements, a B.Tech. in Mechatronics student may take the IIT JAM in Physics for admission to the IIT for M.Sc. in Physics. Physics must be studied for at least two years/four semesters and mathematics must be studied for at least one year/two semesters in order to qualify for the IIT JAM Physics for B.Sc./B.S. students. Mechatronics Engineering is a course you need to do, only if you are really into robotics and other mechanical aspects. The need for Mechatronics Engineers are increasing. The main advantage of pursuing Mechatronics Engineering is that you get to cover Mechanical, Electrical and computer Engineering, In my point of view this can set you up in a good firm with a good salary. In Bangalore The Oxford college of engineering has offering good education related to mechatronics. The department has qualified staff from both mechanical, mechatronics, electronic engineering.
