Yes, colleges do provide admissions to students on merit basis and also on basis of other entrance exams like the ones mentioned below:
- MHT CET: Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test, is a state-level annual entrance exam for admission to Engineering and Enter programs that is administered by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE).
- GPAT: Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test is a computer-based national-level entrance examination conducted by NTA i.e. National Testing Agency for admission to Bachelors and Masters pharma courses.

The prerequisites for studying medicine and health sciences colleges differ amongst institutions. The following are often approved for admission to colleges of medicine and health sciences:
• For UG: Candidates must have completed Class 12 in the Science stream with PCB, or medicine9 Chemistry, and medicine9 For PG: Candidates must hold a degree in the medical or health sciences to qualify for admission to a master's program.
Some colleges do admit applicants based on merit or on the results of their entrance exams.

Hello Nishar Ahmed, the annual intake as authorised by National Medical Commission is 150. Out of these seats few are reserved for NRI students and the remaining are filled of as per the guidelines issued by National medical commission. Besides MBBS, there are lots of different courses which a student can do in this Institute. Hello Nishar Ahmed, there are no placements after MBBS in any medical college and that is true in this college also. Be that as it may, few students do get placed after their completion of graduation including internship. However after doing PG, students of this institute do get placement offers.

Hello Nishar Ahmed, cutoffs and closing rank are two numbers that are of vital importance. Cutoff rank is announced by the college for each round of admission process that depends on multiple factors. Students whose ranking is this or better can only apply for admission. NTA announces cutoff percentile or ranks. Students who have scored this or better are only allowed to seek admission in any medical college in India.
Then there is All India Quota under which students only from other states can apply for admission in a given state. For the remaining seats, students domiciled in that state only can apply.
