Yes, it is possible to get admission to NMU at 7 percentile in MHTCET MTech. The cutoff percentile varied between 2 and 15.67, for various ME and M.Tech specialisations for the General All India category candidates. Candidates can check the table below to check the cutoff percentile released for the General Home State category candidates:

The conducting authorities releases the MHTCET MTech counselling provisional list for each round on different dates. Students can check the dates of the provisional list release below -

  • CAP Round 1 - August 1
  • CAP Round 2  - August 10
  • CAP Round 3 - August 13
  • CAP Round 4 - August 28

The offiicial notification regarding MHTCET MTech counselling will start in June 2026, and will contain schedule of all counselling rounds. Students applying through MHTCET have to register and opt for choice filling and locking. Based on the submissions and scores, candidates will be alloted colleges for admission.

The MHTCET MTech merit list is created based on applicant's GATE score. The Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra is responsible for conducting the counselling process. Students can check their GATE merit list using their application number and data of birth. The MHTCET MTech merit list is prepared for each CAP round.

  • GATE scorecard
  • PwD certificate
  • Eligibility certificate for EWS 
  • Domicile certificate
  • Photo
  • Signature
  • Marksheets and certificates
  • Caste certificate
  • Certificate of Indian nationality

Candidates must upload documents needed in Maharashtra MTech application form as per guidelines. File size must not be more than 1024 kb. All certificates must be uploaded correctly as per format.

No, the mode of Maharashtra MTech application form is online only. Candidates have to visit the official page and apply within due date. Candidates have to fill their personal, education, and college choices.

The M.Tech admissions process in Maharashtra will be managed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra.  DTE Maharashtra publishes the merit list for admission. Three rounds of counselling will be used to allot seats to candidates whose names are on the list. After successful counselling, candidates must lock their choices in order to take Maharashtra M.Tech Admission.
