B.Tech. in Data Science Engineering (Lateral Entry) - Batch of 2025
Offered by G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management
4.4

Great teaching staff, a supportive environment, and the best college for data science.
Placements: I pursued my B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) from the batch of 2021-2025. Approximately 75%-80% of students were placed, with the highest package at ₹14 lakhs, an average of ₹4.5 lakhs, and the lowest at ₹3.7 lakhs. Top companies such as TCS, Cognizant, and Capgemini recruited students from our college.
Infrastructure: Our department had a well-equipped computer lab, high-speed internet, and up-to-date software. Although the classrooms could use better ventilation, they were overall good. The library housed a collection of the latest and older technical, non-technical, and reference books. The hostel facilities were average; the food in the mess was mostly good, though occasionally it was not. Additionally, the hostel was equipped with basic first aid for emergencies.
Faculty: The faculty members were well-educated and supportive. Most of the teachers held an M.Tech or Ph.D. and had significant experience in their fields, along with practical knowledge. However, there was a lack of coordination among some faculty members. Overall, the curriculum was well-designed, covering all required courses with a focus on trending market demands such as AI, AIML, Cybersecurity, and IoT. The semester examinations were moderately difficult, but most questions came from the topics emphasized by the faculty, resulting in a passing percentage of around 80% for our department.
Other: I chose this course due to my interest in data. The best aspect of the program is its focus on real-world scenarios and current market trends, allowing students to continually learn and update their knowledge of technology.

Absolutely satisfied with the faculty, facilities, and curriculum.
Placements: The placements are decent, but since nearly 80 percent of students get placed in my college, it’s not much to boast about. However, most students only secure salaries of 3-4 LPA, which is quite low compared to other colleges. Companies such as TCS, Infosys, and Capgemini often hire from us.
Infrastructure: Our college has great infrastructure with all AC rooms and well-furnished classrooms. Our hostel also offers excellent facilities, including Wi-Fi, a B.Ed., and study tables. We can also play sports on the college campus, which helps students interact with each other.
Faculty: Our college has great faculty members, mostly well-qualified with very good degrees. Nearly 10 to 15% of the faculty in our college are from IIT. Sem exams are also tough not so tough but above moderate level, Talking about the course which makes us industry-ready.
Other: I would like to pursue my career in the IT sector that's the reason I chose the branch.

My days at ZB Patil College.
Placements: None of the students from my batch got placed. The salary package was not offered to my batchmates. No companies visited ZB Patil College as it is not a reputed college. No students got internships here. In my course, they do not offer anything in Dhule, as Dhule is a low-tier city so companies do not visit here.
Infrastructure: No Wi-Fi is provided. There are 3 computer labs for BCA students and classrooms are on the top floor. The library is pretty good with all the necessary books. Hostels are not available here. There is no canteen or mess. Sports and games are conducted yearly for every course student.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful if you obey and talk well with them. Some of the teachers were good, but most of them were not fit for the job. The course is relevant and modern teaching but focused more on writing theory papers. Exams are of moderate level.
Other: I chose this course and college because of less fees. This college is near to my home. The course is designed pretty well. We get to learn new programming languages every semester along with management subjects. I think they should focus more on practical teaching instead of theoretical knowledge. Events and fests are conducted in a good way. The campus crowd is pretty boring. Scholarships mentioned on the Maha DBT site are available here. Trips are planned and it also conducts other management activities.

The college is very good, with excellent faculty, infrastructure, and an average placement rate.
Placements: Nearly 80% of students get placed. From my college, the highest package is around 19 LPA on-campus, but 54 LPA off-campus. Not all the material is taught by faculty; students also have to learn and prepare on their own for the interview rounds. Many companies participate in our college campus.
Infrastructure: Well-furnished classrooms with digital boards and Wi-Fi, as well as well-equipped labs and a library. The faculty are highly qualified and experienced, with about 15-20 years in the field. As for the hostel, they also provide good facilities, including Wi-Fi. The cost of the B.Ed and study table is around 28000 per year. I believe that being admitted to this college is truly worth it.
Faculty: The faculty are very helpful to students in every aspect. Their teaching quality is also very good; nearly 10-15% of the college staff are from IIT. All the faculty support students in preparation for placements. Regarding semester exams, the level ranges from moderate to hard.
Other: The future is all about AI, which is why I chose AIML. I think the course is well-designed. Events and fests are also organized at our college.

Placements: There is 100% placement in our college. The highest package is 6 LPA and the lowest package is 2.90 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Sun Pharma and Alembic Pharma. The top roles offered are QA officer. Almost all students get placement or internships offered.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. There is good internet connectivity, and every classroom has a projector. The hostel has all basic amenities. The mess food is also good. There is a gym for boys, and a cricket ground is near the hostel. Labs are well-designed and have all the required equipment.
Faculty: Teachers are well-educated and highly qualified. The course curriculum includes all knowledge related to the pharma field and makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are not so difficult if we study regularly, and questions are syllabus-based. All students clear exams.
Other: I chose this course due to the scope is good for pharmacy, and the best thing is that there are many job opportunities in this field. The college events are fun, with an annual gathering in December and traditional day and cultural day in the month of February.

In last year, placements were less due to down market, but in 2023 placements rate is high.
Placements: Around 75-80% of students got placed in last year from my college. The highest salary package offered is 45 LPA. The average salary package offered ranges between 4.5 LPA to 6 LPA. Most students get placed by companies like Cognizant and Capgemini. Due new trend in AI, around 80% of students got internships from my course. Roles offered by companies are data scientist and software developer.
Infrastructure: In labs, we have many PC but their Wi-Fi quality is poor. Library contains books that are useful for coding. Classrooms with comfortable benches and green boards. Hostel food is good for taste and health. In hostel, single room is combined with 4 girls. Each occasion includes games that are celebrated in hostel. Medical facilities are also available.
Faculty: Most teachers are qualified by Ph.D. hence they are knowledgeable. But they don't teach about coding and their quality of teaching is poor. Semester exams are easy to pass. They provide some questions that will inserted in exam. Hence it makes it easier to get high CGPA.
Other: My course nowadays is trending that's the reason I chose my course. Best thing is it makes work easy and it has high scope currently.
